  1. Amazing end to the Watford-Leicester play-off. Michael Oliver gives an outrageous penalty to Leicester 7 minutes into the 4 minutes of added time. Penalty saved as well as the follow up. Watford immediately break and score. Replay of the Brentford game of a few weeks ago.
  2. Nice cleavage show by the singer in white.
  3. The best tracking back he could do, would be tracking back to Middlesborough.
  4. Can't imagine Allen or Henderson sending grandad packing to the post office in such a fitting manner. image upload no limit
  5. Wigan chairman Whelan tells Martinez: You can do better than Everton Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan is urging Roberto Martinez to think twice about taking the Everton job. Martinez is favourite to succeed David Moyes at Everton, with the Scot due to be named Sir Alex Ferguson's successor at Manchester United. Whelan told BBC Radio 5 Live: "It’s a battle that I will lose and Wigan will lose [at some point], I’ve no question on that. It’s [a case of] would Roberto choose to go to Everton or would he wait for one of the really big clubs? "I’m not degrading Everton in any way, shape or form - they’re a great club with great supporters - but is Everton regarded as one of the top European clubs? Well, unfortunately they’re not."
  6. Hopefully. Wisdom looked good at CB - would start him with Lloyd Jones. Add Flanaghan/McLaughlin at RB and thats a decent back four (all of whom are under 21).
  7. That goal will now give them home advantage for the semi as well.

  11. Brendan Rodgers contemplates Liverpool red cards to avoid Fair Play Europa League place Brendan Rodgers joked he may instruct his Liverpool stars to start racking up the red cards in order to avoid a Europa League spot through the Fair Play League. The Reds currently boast the second cleanest side in the division behind Arsenal, who are likely to clinch a European place anyway, meaning Rodgers’ men could scrape into the qualifying rounds even if they finish outside the top five in the Premier League. However, the Northern Irishman isn’t keen to be gifted a passage into the Europa League, and insists he wants his side to either earn it on the pitch or sit out next season’s competition. ‘I’ve never thought of it, maybe we should get a couple of sendings-off or bookings,’ joked the Liverpool boss. ‘There’s a pride thing and we want to get into it with our performance level and it’s highly unlikely we’d get that route [anyway]. ‘It’s the top three countries and we’re fourth. It’s not something I would be keen on. I want to get there through the right means. ‘If we have to have a year where we are not in it, it’s going to give us an opportunity to push on. ‘It was a long journey in the Europa League this year. Don’t get me wrong, we enjoyed it and we were disappointed when we came out of it, but I think down the Fair Play route means the competition starts even earlier. ‘I’d prefer to be in it by qualifying through the league or winning a trophy. ‘If it’s not that way then, we as a club are better suited to re-aligning our focus to domestic cups and the league.’ Brendan Rodgers contemplates Liverpool red cards to avoid Fair Play Europa League place | Metro News
  12. Qatar's Ooredoo denies talks on Anfield naming rights By Shane McGinley Monday, 29 April 2013 11:20 AM Ooredoo, the Qatari telecoms giant formerly known as Qtel, on Monday denied media reports it is in talks with Liverpool Football Club for naming rights to Anfield stadium. "There is no basis for the current speculation linking us to the sponsorship of a Premier League Football Club. If the situation changes, we will - as always - be open and transparent in our communication with the media and with our customers," an Ooredoo spokesperson told Arabian Business. Recent media reports claimed the telecoms operator was looking to invest in a high profile British football team and claimed it was in talks with Liverpool for naming rights to the club’s stadium at Anfield, a move which could have seen it renamed the Ooredoo Stadium. “The goal was to sponsor a big English club with a huge history, our search included Arsenal and Manchester United but the former two have long sponsorship deals and the same applies to Manchester City, so Liverpool is the only club available right now,” an unnamed director at Ooredoo was quoted as saying by Al Jazeera, the Qatari state-owned TV station. "We want to sponsor the club in full. We want to sponsor the Stadium as well as the club's kits. Our goal is to reach the Asian markets where the Premier League has an enormous fan base. We received the tender from the club a few days ago and we are currently in the process of due diligence and we are studying each aspect of the study,” he added. The move would have followed in the footsteps of Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways, which gained naming right to Manchester City’s stadium and Dubai’s Emirates Airline, which is been associated with Arsenal football club. Standard Chartered signed a deal in September 2009 to sponsor Liverpool, which is due to expire in 2014 and the London-based lender is reportedly in talks to extend the deal. Ooredoo is looking to expand into the football arena and recently appointed Barcelona’s Lionel Messi as their global brand ambassador. Qatar is set to host the FIFA World Cup in 2022, while Qatar Airlines has signed a sponsorship deal with Barcelona FC and the Gulf state also owns French football team Paris St Germain. 13. West Ham striker Carroll buys new Liverpool home West Ham United striker Andy Carroll is ready to return to parent club Liverpool after buying a new house in the area. The Sunday Mirror says Carroll has purchased a new house in Southport. And that could sabotage West Ham’s hopes of signing the 24 year-old England ace. Hammers boss Sam Allardyce wants Carroll to stay after spending this season on loan from Anfield. But the hitman wants to have another go at establishing himself at the Reds – and boss Brendan Rodgers may need him with Luis Suarez’s future uncertain.
  14. Great result. Slightly dampened by the absence of one man. Atmosphere around the game is not the same without that human loudspeaker from the u21's yesterday. Hope to see him released and back in action soon. Could have been 8-0 with him in the stands/on the pitch.
  15. He put in some performance. 90 minutes non-stop, full volume, every single club song in the book and then runs on the pitch. I need to know more about him.
