  1. The "shut the doors" stuff is silly, we need immigrants and we need a lot of them each year. But the problem is we're getting too much immigration. Half a million people move to the UK every year. And those figures don't include the illegals we don't know about. With so many incoming, how are our public services supposed to cope? We're in the middle of a baby boom too so our population is growing rapidly even without immigration. It takes years to build hospitals, houses and schools, it takes years to train doctors, nurses, teachers etc yet we're getting hundreds of thousands of people moving here every year. I don't think our public services can cope with the rate of population growth and we're going to get some serious trouble some years down the line when the NHS, schools, public housing etc goes beyond breaking point in terms of capacity.
  2. Yes please. No chance of happening though.
  3. When we appointed him, I never expected any real success with Rodgers and felt he would not get us higher than 6th place. Not entirely his fault, the strength of the Premiership makes this a tough league unless you are firmly established (Arsenal, United) or absolutely loaded (Chelsea, City). I said if he got us back into the CL he would be considered a big success, without actually expecting him to achieve that. Coming close to winning the title was beyond my wildest expectations. I was encouraged by some of the results and performances in his 1st season which took away some of my doubts that I had when we appointed him and he built on that magnificently last season. But all of that promise and coming desperately close to winning the title was built around one man, and he ain't here any more. Without Suarez and Sturridge, Rodgers has sadly been found out. That's actually putting it mildly. He has been absolutely clueless this season and the mancs are rightly going to rip the piss out of us in a few weeks with references to that "Moyes is a football genius" banner.
  4. The worrying part of this appalling season is just how bad we are even compared to BR's first season. We were never going to match our performances from last season, but we are now way off to what we were back in 2012. At the end of Brendan's first season it didn't matter to me that we only finished 7th. The potential was there to see in a lot of our performances. The thrashings we handed out to Swansea, Newcastle, Norwich etc. showed a lot of promise so I was confident that we'd progress under Brendan. And we did by almost winning the title last season. Now we've regressed to the Hodgson era and it's fucking horrible.
  5. No chance! His brother's bird?
  6. We are actually far, far worse than we were in his first season. At least we recorded some decent wins in his first season and played some good football at times. We have been totally hopeless this season despite spending a huge amount of money.
  7. Who's that tasty looking bird standing next to Lewis's old lady?
  8. We've been like this all season, no surprise to see us struggle against shite opponents. We're just as shite. We are no better than mid-table and that is exactly where we'll finish, between 9th-12th position unless the club works a miracle in January and brings in a top quality striker.
  9. What's cleverly doing, rope-a-dope? He's finished.
  10. We'll instantly look more threatening with him out of the team, so I'm glad he'll miss the match tomorrow. And Mario's getting a lot of stick for being lazy and shit, but surely the manager is to blame for continuing to stick with him? What is it that Brendan sees in Mario which the rest of the world doesn't?
  11. Arsenal always bottling against the mancs, no matter how shit United may be. They even lost to Moyes' boys last season.
  12. Fucking hell, might as well write him off for the season. Absolutely ridiculous, how'd the fuck he get injured TWICE during rehabilitation? Sack that fucking doctor and the physios, fucking fuming.
  13. Brilliant goal from England there, and well played by the Liverpool lads who created it.
  14. We have a magical ability to make Agbonlahor turn into the Brazilian Ronaldo whenever he faces us. We should sell the secret to how we do that to Villa for £100M.
  15. At least with Kenny there was some justification when saying Comolli was responsible for our signings. That was Comolli's job, to bring in players to improve the team. And he largely failed and cost both him and Kenny their jobs. Brendan appears to be the man solely responsible for agreeing to buy a player or not. And so far the results have not been good at all except for a few decent purchases. Coutinho and Sturridge were good signings in his first season, no good signings in his 2nd season and jury is out on all of his signings this season.
  16. Even clueless Hodgson has binned Johnson and I don't see him getting into the England team again. When will Rodgers come to the same realisation, that Johnson is not good enough at this level?
  17. We're pretty shit at trying to get in decent players. Costa and Willian both fucked us off for Chelsea, Sanchez for Arsenal, even average players like Salah would prefer to join Chelsea's reserve team than come to us. Is it the club that is failing to lure them here or are the players just greedy dicks who want to live in London?
  18. He's not going to get a job in England now. Might as well move to a foreign league. Given how dismal Serie A has become, he'd probably be the league's top goal scorer if he moved to an Italian club.
  19. At least this means Rodgers won't be forced to pick him which is a relief.
  20. Momo was mostly average but some of his displays were absolutely insane. He totally destroyed a few teams on his own. A shame he was never consistent and that eye injury really affected his performances.
