Murphy to Riise and a nice finish into his own net by Vermaillen and it's 1-0 Fullham. I know he scuffed it a bit, but as long as they go in.

My bitterness toward Torres has been cut by the fact that he's been so poor. My guess is he told the powers that be sometime before, or early in the transfer window, he wanted to leave. But he still left at one of the lowest on-field points in the club's history, and I think that is unforgivable. Whatever promises were made to him, if promises were made to him, he shouldn't have walked out on the supporters. Four months more, to get the club back on the right track, isn't too much to ask from someone who gets paid millions of pounds to play a game.

Chinatown is a great movie, not so much because of Nicholson's performance, which is excellent, but because it's a great story, well-told. Nicholson actually plays the straight man for all the eccentric characters he bumps into. If you haven't seen it, you're missing one of the best movies ever made IMO.

Entertaining match between PSV and Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Europa. 3-2 HTA after 65 minutes. Back and forth, great goals, loads of chances and a couple of world-class saves.

And before anyone gets the wrong idea, I don't believe Ferguson had anything to do with the accusations of racist abuse. My point is that this place is all about speculation. None of us ever have perfect information about anything. We'll speculate til the FA releases it's report, and we'll go on speculating after it's released.

How can you know that Ferguson isn't behind this all? The FA haven't produced a report on it, Ferguson has neither confirmed nor denied it, there is no CCTV footage proving he isn't behind it, etc. With one breath you say people shouldn't speculate, and with the next you speculate yourself.

Difficult to choose between Cuckoo's Nest and Chinatown. Cuckoo's Nest. I don't know if he was "Jack Nicholson" at that point, so much as that was the role that made him "Jack Nicholson".

Di Natale with his seventh to lead Udinese to a 1-0 victory over Parma. Put one off the bar early on, then chipped the keeper but past the post before finally netting an easy one. Not a bad striker for an old-timer.

My take is that he's having to adjust to Suarez. Instead of being served, he's having to react to Luis, which is no easy task, for team-mates or defenders. Watching the Copa America, you could see as time passed how Forlan, and the rest of the Uruguayans, started to get on the same page as Suarez. I hope Carroll can do the same.

The papers are reporting today that the FA has not contacted Suarez yet. How do you investigate an incident without speaking with one of the participants? Are they stitching him up? Or are they just incompetent?

Van Persie does make a good contrast to Torres. As does Suarez. Torres doesn't seem able to either find or create space at the moment. Has he lost that explosive first step that let him get free from/past defenders?

What the hell are they waiting for? Someone to invent a time machine so they can go back and listen in? Talk to the players, determine what each said or thought was said, check any other possible sources, and make a decision. Given Luis' performance vs. Stoke, it's not bothering him much, but it's still not something anyone should have hanging over their head.

I still hate Rick Monday. But Fanning never should have put Rogers in to pitch. Great post-season so far this year. The last day of the season was amazing, and now I'm switching on the games in the 7th or 8th inning and it's working out perfectly. Hoping the Rangers win.
