    The thing that's impressing me most is his ability to get into the right position to shield forwards from the ball without fouling. Finesse, not power.

    Missed the match due to work, got home to discover that my streaming service not only carried the match, but gave me a chance to watch a complete replay. As disillusioning as the corruption on the week-end was, it's just not possible to watch Klopp's LFC without a real sense of, for want of a better word (and as corny as it sounds), joy. Even the second(ish) string play the game the way it's supposed to be played: at full throttle, with skill and enthusiasm and drive. Can't imagine what it must be like to be there live.

    Leeds look like they're in for another hammering. Hopefully Arsenal miss a few more chances, get their heads down, and keep this one a contest.

    Chelsea should have won comfortably. Pickford made a couple of very good saves, and Everton scored on the only chance they created. But Everton out-worked them at the end, and Chelsea looked toothless and confused.

    Qatar equalize vs Algeria in the seventh of nine minutes of extra time in the second semi-final of the Arab Cup being played in Qatar. Where they got the nine minutes from is anyone's guess. So now they're in the fifteenth minute of extra time, and the ref has awarded Algeria a penalty. Stopped, put in on the rebound. Scenes.

    I don't know what the "Arab Cup" is, but Egypt's captain has just scored an extra-time OG to put Tunisia into the final. Entertaining match, without, I assume, any of the players currently playing in Europe.
