  1. Enough of these crocks. I also understand that Klopp is ambivalent as he's excited about some of the younger electric cars coming through and doesn't want them sitting idly in the forecourt.
  2. Mickey Edwards has checked the engine out and reckons it's sound. Klopp wants to respray with a view to selling on for a profit in a couple of years. John Henry is happy to sanction what he sees as a low risk investment.
  3. I can see us selling Phillips to get some cash in and using Davies as back up. I know Klopp hasn't trusted him so far but with three centre backs and a newbie he'll want someone else around. We won't get the kind of fee for Davies that we would for Phillips.
  4. I like the look of Calhanoglu on youtube. Got plenty about him. Not sure why he isn't generating more excitement unless he's a bit inconsistent. Can he press?
  5. So we've haven't got to the end of May and we've already spent £35m. I like the look of Hakan Calhanoglu too. Big question is whether any clubs are going to be able to sign our surplus to requirements.
  6. We should be thinking about the possible squad for next season. Allisson Kelleher (H) Adrian? Alexander-Arnold (H) Williams N (H) Van Dijk Gomez (H) Matip Phillips (H) New CB Robertson Tmisikas Henderson (H) Fabinho Thiago Jones (H) Milner (H) New CM Elliott (H) Salah Firmino Mane Jota Minamino New FWD
  7. I presume we will try to get rid of Keita, Ox, Shaqiri, Origi, Davies, Grujic, Ojo, Wilson, Grabara, Awoniyi. Karius will be going anyway.
  8. Liam Hughes is not going to count as home grown is he?
  9. So we now have 2 x Williams 1 x Jones 1 x Davies 1 x Hughes Trying to crack the Welsh market?
  10. How much have you seen of him? Do you watch the Bundesliga? A lot of players struggle after a break out season. And he's only 20.
  11. Is there a young goalkeeper who could replace Adrian. Klopp seems happy with Kelleher as second choice now. Using up a foreign spot for a keeper who is very unlikely to play seems such a waste.
  12. £2m means a sale next year for £4m gives John Henry a 100% return in a year. And if he does well why would we want to sell him anyway? Very very low risk
  13. Or maybe a combination of the two?
  14. I like the clips I've seen of Davies. Amazing how quickly that got done on youtube! Biggest concern is he may be a bit lightweight but he has a good left foot and seems tidy.
  15. Hadn't thought of that! Should try and add a few £££ to the transfer fee for that alone.
  16. Would they need him if they've got Sven Botman who's just come off winning a Champions League for Liverpool? Another reason to sign him.
  17. I don't have any dislike for Solskjaer but not convinced he's the second coming to keep us awake at night. My worry is that if we don't win the league this season it will be a case of us 'losing it' which wasn't the case in 2019 or 2009 for that matter. Even 2014 you have to say we lost to a quality team. Let's be honest not winning it this season would be painful.
  18. I'm disappointed. I was hoping that the recent activity on this thread meant that Michael Edwards had finally got his cheque book out and spent the £100m we need to this January on three new players. Instead all we have is superhero puns. Marvel-ous
  19. Duncan Castles or Sven Botman? Only kidding. I'd like to sign Sven Botman if only because he has the most Alan Partridge/Fast Show football name ever.
  20. I don't want to mention Woodburn (there, I did it) but the only that worries me with Elliott is he seems like he could be an old fashioned number ten. The sort we don't really see anymore.
  21. The goal was scored by Mountfield?
  22. I get the idea about 18 premier league teams but the reality is that the clubs will simply replace the matches with other ones - an expanded champions league/prestige preseason games etc. I don't think it is about reducing the workload at all. Two thirds majority does seem a bit high but reducing it to the nine teams who've been there the longest is way too much. And do we really want to be getting too cozy with the Glazers? The stuff on opening accounts up is impressive - not least since we seem to be relying on Man City and Chelsea to support this proposal! Other than ourselves and United is anyone publicly behind this?
