  1. Frozen River - 3/10 - Got loads of critical and award success, but I thought it was pretty shit. Switched off after about an hour. A Clockwork Orange - Hated it even if there is something there to be admired. Don't really know how to rate it numerically. The Notebook - 7/10 Boogie Nights - 8.5/10 The Santa Clause - 7/10 - A childhood favourite.
  2. I've actually quite enjoyed the recent Christmas episodes, but yeah, that was quite painful.
  3. Mine hasn't arrived either. I was hoping to get a review up by tomorrow or boxing day, but it'll have to be a bit delayed now as I've got a lot of work on over the next few weeks.
  4. I'd just about say Gordon-Levitt, his performance in Mysterious Skin is superb. Gosling is good and super cool, but I wonder if he might be a bit one dimensional. Drive, whilst I loved it, is a bit of a style over substance film, and all he really does in it was stand around looking cool and handsome. He can definitely act though, excellent in 'Blue Valentine' and 'Lars and the Real Girl'. Haven't seen enough of Fassbender to comment.
  5. I was the opposite, had no interest in it for some reason. To be fair I'm young and these have been the first games I've ever really taken in and appreciated. Luckily I spent the vast majority of the summer parked on my arse at home, ended up watching pretty much everything. Just a shame I didn't get on it sooner and try to get tickets, missed a great opportunity to witness something special in person. Looking forward to the commonwealth games in Glasgow though, definitely want to go and see some of it, and plan to hopefully volunteer in some capacity. Don't know what to do with myself now.
  6. Good stuff, far better than the Olympic one. Pretty sad that the whole thing is over now. Really glad I got into it all and didn't let it pass me by, with both the olympics and paralympics.
  7. 21 Jump Street - 7/10 - Pretty funny. Shut Up and Play the Hits - 8/10 - Documentary on LCD Soundsystem's final farewell gig at Madison Square Garden. The footage of the show itself is fantastic, and the full 4 hours of music will be available on the DVD. Found the interview with James Murphy really interesting too. Fans of the band will probably enjoy a lot, even if it's maybe not a classic music doc.
  8. No. Also Agger can play on Sunday so there's no way he should be involved against Hearts.
  9. He also has exquisite taste in music for a footballer. I love him.
  10. Ah shit, wanted a Canada win in the shoot out. Great finish in the final round from Ogogo earlier.
  11. KJT is my new favourite, I'm hoping to marry her eventually, but Ennis' arse is unrivalled, no question.
  12. Class, quite a decent few days she's had. As has been expressed by a few on here, these Olympics have far surpassed my expectations, I've been enthralled since track and field started. Last night was probably the best sporting occasion I've witnessed.
  13. Was made up seeing her do so well, she just seemed to be having a great time. Has this been posted? Seen it on her twitter. Kenny tweeted her the other day too! Is she a red?
  14. Don't know why I wasn't bothered about the Olympics before, this is the first time I've ever really watched it properly and I'm loving it, brilliant spectacle. Great to see Johnson-Thompson doing well earlier, she seemed to be really be relishing it and enjoying herself.
  15. I don't think there's any doubt he survived, it was made pretty clear by the fact that he'd fixed the auto-pilot. Quality film, I'm not quite sure if I prefer it to TDK yet, think that'll depend on how enjoyable it is on repeat viewings. The whole cast was perfect and I think I'm in love wit Marion Cotillard.
