    i work with young people and most would love a job or apprenticeship. out of 20 i would say 18 would kill for work. one of them had her jsa stopped after she was asked to submit a cv to them. she did but they said it was not up to standard so stopped her benefit for a week. others have gone on the sick with depression and sent a doctors not to the benefits office, which they lose and so suspend payment. nice start to adulthood for them. in my experience the spongers that knob head talks about are a minority in the extreme. more help to train and prepare for employment is whats needed, not kicking the weak.

    quite suitable for the cottagers... my main issue if i was a fulham fan would be that it looks completely shit. then it might be with a paedophile being glorified because he had a lot of top 5 hits. then it would be with being told to go and support chelsea by some arab loon who is in it for a passport. then i would go home. Liverpool are to get this outside the Shankly suite in the Standard Chartered arena, funded by Asian corporate clients. Mainly from Bangkok. Which is charming, not small and dirty.

    I was thinking you must have obviously changed address then and told the club. but then i did the same, and with the same result. strange indeed. but cool. maybe they got my new address from other sources like the fuckers do who ask me to pay money back I borrowed in 2002. i think the time wasters/ assesing demand theory you lads are on about is probably the case. and damn right, good to see some pro active business going down at long last. although the bit about a letter being sent later this month doesn't give them a lot of time..

    yeah in the tourist places like certain parts of thailand i would agree. but we always hear about china, and even in Beijing, although I always found the match, it was a struggle, and only expats watching. my main point is the shirt sales that is taken as a given. THEY ARE ALL FAKES. So how does the club benefit from that? people watching the match , yes, i get it, audience for the sponsers, but not shirt sales. I am not being intentionally pedantic, i just don't see it.

    always wondered when i spent time in south east Asia and stay up till 4am to watch the match, alone, why all this talk about massive commercial revenue in the far east.? nobody really watches it. i spent 2 months in china and to find a 'EPL' match was difficult, certainly not billions of people watching it in park ji hung shirts. And all the shirts that you do see are totally jarg. so i am unable to see the connection that is constantly forced down our throats about the far east markets. something is askew, and betting syndicates won;t be too far away from it.

    great thread this by the way, to read over in hindsight. I never got involved in the email campaign but a hearty well done to all that did. I am rather ashamed I didn't. On Hicks, I think he is an alright guy who got a raw deal. I mean leave off for a while, he is just a businessman, I kinda like him. That cheeky chubby face, the liverpool scarf. whats not to like?

    i do the same when backpacking in asia. once in thailand on a little island the owner of the bungalows we aere staying at got out a raggedly liverpool shirt with 'morientas' on the back, letters all falling off and everything, and it was his pride and joy. even miles away from anywhere i thought nice one lad, and now distribute anything 'official' to locals along the way.they would probably rather money or food like, but what have we here, its a stig inge bjornabye pencil holder...all for you Mr Chan
