  1. Buy another CB and bring Kelly through at CB and it won't be an issue. Skrtel and Carra both hoof because it's all they will ever do.
  2. Could be worse they could have Bill Gates ona stage with musicians telling you that you can help feed a small village .... Hang on a minute!
  3. Didn't this lark used to be on till 5 in the mornin?
  4. Love how people are writing Carroll off given he's not played one game for us match fit. It is worrying that we seem to have paid 35m to improve Skrtel and Carra's chances of getting an assist like.
  5. What? After our "Away performance of olden days" we're out? We made our bed in Portugal, tonight we just lay in it and Jay Spearing and David N'gog came on to tuck us in to our mediocrity.
  6. Play the game, learn how to sim, then do the world a favour and jump off the highest building you can find.
  7. Well that's interesting, Pepe randomly kicks off when I move him to the reserves to just sort out my squad and then I apologise and he continues to kick off. Seems Pepe won't be joining us this season.
  8. Decided to take the job I think Rafa was crazy not to, the Juve job. History, funds, a squad that needs a complete overhaul, lessened expectations to a degree. The league is still wide open there if any of the big clubs could sort themselves out. A lot of crap to sift through first though before I can build a possible contender.
  9. Quality stop. Team clearly needs work but good result.
  10. Even in this thread, you want to start? Really? So yeah back to my original question ....
  11. Just bought a new pc so I've decided to give this a little go. I want to go a team that are over reliant on one player, sell that player and get them playing as a team. Any thoughts?
  12. I wonder if the comments made by his chairman about him not playing in a Rennes shirt again were true now.
  13. What kind of style do you like to play? It's important you choose a team that fit your natural style of play. I had to completely change how Liverpool's tactics were before I could even get them playing even close to like what I needed/wanted. Believe it or not if you can deal with them Stoke can beat the very best just by frustrating the hell out of everyone then counter attacking. I've beaten Real, Barca, Arsenal, you name it. Dortmund, Villarreal, Udinese, Fio and Lazio are good shouts I'd say. CSKA arn't too shabby either.
  14. Ha, should have been Sanchez on the right. Got Suarez on the brain.
  15. What's the cheapest you've seen that just as a handset? I've got the Nexus S and I'm thinking that the S2 is a much better phone on that evidence so time to sell up (soonish) and trade up.
  16. Saw this when it first came out and have since bought it on DVD, it's one of the strangest films ever but it's proper hilarious. Aye Robbie, that's the one. I've got a terrible memory. 4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days was good as well there's loads really you just don't can't remember them all, which is why it's good to have a thread like this!
  17. Wait is it La Haine that I'm thinking of not district 13? Which is the one where they go to Paris and meet with that crazy dealer? EDIT: It was La Haine not D13 got them mixed up. La Haine is boss!
  18. Every bit as good as City of God as is "un prophet" but both seem to have slipped under the radar. Given your other films I'll certainly be checking out "Tell No One". Amelie was suprisingly brilliant as I didn't think for a second that would be my kind of film. Let the right one in Downfall - it's like you're witnessing Hitler's last stand live. Le conseguenze dell'amore - unreal film Battle Royale - not exactly the greatest story line ever but still. Tsotsi - if you don't find this sad you have no soul Infernal Affairs - far better than the departed for my money Le Dinner de Cons - funny but tragic Full of Grace - it ain't fun being a drug mule and one I haven't got round to yet which is Revanche but comes highly recommended.
  19. Not what I said. He's Messi, he's the player that while everyone else is one touch or two touch he's allowed to roam with the ball wherever he may, like Suarez. Suarez is actually very unselfish but like Messi will also take the ball and go wherever he feels like and your job is to stop him, if you can. Guardiola has said time and again that Messi is playing by different rules to the rest of the team and you only have to watch Barca to see what he's talking about. I just thought your point about Sanchez not being able to be "part of a system" lacked a bit of insight into how Messi plays outside of the system and how Sanchez is striking up quite the partnership with Di Natale that's all. Why do you watch so much of Chile? Do you support them? I've seen more of Sanchez at club level so your insight into his national play would be much appreciated.
  20. To you or I that would seem to be the case but I think the point was more he did it because that's the way it is. See we all wanted it to be another way, but it isn't. If Marlo let's people start to question him, shout in his face and his people see this, it doesn't send the right message. Marlo was cold but he didn't do anything just cos he could, there was always a reason behind his actions for me. Look at the simple act of him taking the lollipops, there's two ways to view it. Either a) he does it cos he can, he does it as a lack of respect and to wind the guard up and he's pissed off after the card game or b) he does it because he sees the guard looking at him to see if he will take anything as disrespect in itself. You see Marlo coming, you don't question "shit" or he'll have you. The security guard can talk about how he wasn't stepping to, but that's exactly what he did. If it was as personal as some people think it was then Marlo would have dealt with it himself, he wasn't adverse to fighting his own battles, this was just business as usual. Dare I say that Stringer was a bigger cunt that Marlo?
  21. Has to be Phil, crying about his legacy, going after Tony with the bigger army AND LOSING. Marlo was cold, calculated but secure in who and what he was and when he did his own dirty work as well as letting his soldiers do what needed to be done. Marlo love him or hate him wasn't beating unarmed fatties with a mob and a baseball bat, he was leaving business dinners and reminding people who he was on the streets of Baltimore. As Tony once said "you don't gotta love me but you will respect me." No one respected that bitch Leotardo.
