  1. These lads in Kneecap sound a decent bunch. I might have to give them a listen.
  2. Struggling to get excited about Cheltenham this year. It’s all a bit samey now, for me. Loads of Mullins/Irish short price winners in the Championship races that aren’t worth backing unless you do them ante-post and then big fields in the handicap races, making it difficult to pick a winner. Just a £3 lucky 15 each day, for me.
  3. The official Israel Twitter account having another totally normal one. Red hands are the new blue octopi.
  4. Ederson is out for around 4 weeks and set to miss City’s game with Arsenal.
  5. Not arsed myself. But, it’s undeniably intriguing/funny that the next Queen consort of the country appears to have gone missing and that the information released to try to quell concerns has made things worse.
  6. Just been on MOTD again. Hits his upper arm first and then there’s a second contact with his hand. Wouldn’t have counted if it went in.
  7. The pegging thing might’ve been true and she’s kicked Wills to the kerb! Or he’s offed her and fed her to the corgis? It’s all looking a bit dodgy.
  8. All this Kate Middleton with her kids photo stuff is a bit mad. An official “photograph” released today of her and her kids. Just hours later, press agencies like AFP and the AP have issued a “kill notice” and have stopped acting as a source for/hosting the photograph as they have concerns that it may have been “digitally manipulated.”
  9. It’s a stonewall pen. He doesn’t play the ball. He tries too, misses and then studs Mac Allister in the chest and the ball deflects off Mac Allister onto Doku’s knee. I could (just about, but not really) understand people arguing that it’s no pen if Doku gets the ball and then follows through into Mac Allister but that doesn’t appear to happen. Doku’s only touch on the ball appears to be off his knee after Mac Allister gets the ball first. It’s mad how a fair few of the match reports have just skirted over this decision. And some have made out that we were lucky because City hit the woodwork twice. Without mentioning that the Foden one would’ve been ruled out for handball if it went in. Well, you’d like to think that it would’ve been. You never know in this day and age!
  10. Oliver/VAR has refereed the occasion there and not the game, as per the rules. They’ve probably shit themselves and thought we can’t give Liverpool a second penalty in a game of this magnitude and so late in the game. Absolutely stunned. It’s a clear penalty. Even Gary fucking Neville said so.
  11. Unfuckingbeliavable that they’ve examined that and not given a penalty. Absolutely jaw dropping incompetence. Or something worse.
  12. I’m not sure about the offside rule, but doesn’t it have to be a forward pass too? De Bruyne’s corner was backwards and the players were behind him too. Onside. Unfortunately.
  13. Behind to a really poor goal to concede, although it looks like City have spotted something in our set up and capitalised on it. City just edging it, for me. But, we’ve done alright so far. We just look a bit reluctant to shoot. Bradley and Elliott seem to be having a bit of joy down our right, so it seems sensible to bring Salah on as early as possible in the second half to try and capitalise on that. Endo and Mac Allister have done okay in midfield. Nunez need to stop going offside. Plenty to play for still. But, City look dangerous on the break and could step it up a gear. If they decide to stop fucking time wasting.
  14. Would’ve been happier with a stronger lineup. With Salah starting and Gomez playing central and having one of our actual designated left backs playing left back. But, Klopp knows who’s fit and how many minutes they’re capable of. Plus, with Arsenal yet to play City, a draw wouldn’t necessarily be a decisive result in the title race. And, you have to wonder if Klopp has asked himself if it’s worth the risk of playing Salah for one game and risking him pulling up and then missing a handful of games in the run in? Plus, on Quansah and Elliott, have they really let us down up until now? I’d say no. So, I’d say keep the faith that they won’t do so today either. It is what it is. It looks like a game that’s come just a bit too soon for us re: our injury crisis. But, just get out there and give it a go. Make it loud and difficult for them and anything can happen.
  15. What do they do now it’s a possible 3 team title race? Do they stick with their old faithful Man City or abandon them to show support to ex-blooooooo Arteta and his Arsenal side?
  16. It’s daft to rule out Arsenal. They’re in it until they’re not in it. And, they’re still in it. But, saying that, I’ve seen a few people ruling us out of contention for doing what Arsenal did today. For scoring late winners and failing to blast teams out of sight and instead getting a cagey win in the second half. Apparently, that sort of thing isn’t sustainable and won’t win you a title. City being cheating cunts has totally changed people’s narrative on what it takes to win a league. It’s largely nonsensical too. Getting 3 points week in, week out by winning 2 or 3 nil with late goals apparently isn’t good enough when compared to winning a game 3 or 4 nil but being able to take your foot off the gas in the second half/later stages of the game. It was exactly the former that used to be talked about as what was needed to win titles. I mean it wasn’t that long ago that the other Mancs won a title with van der Saar in goal and grinding a whole load of 1-nil wins. It’s in our interest that Arsenal still have something to play for when they go to City.
  17. Try Orajel Extra Strength. You apply it directly to the area causing pain and it pretty much deadens it due to the Benzocaine that’s in it.
  18. Dental abscesses are fucking horrendous. As is tooth ache in general. It’s the worst when it hurts all down your neck and into your shoulder. And when you can’t sleep with it. It’s so frustrating. I had to get a denture recently. It was a crowned tooth and a liquorice toffee managed to pull the crown off, along with a decent sized bit of the remaining tooth. Similar to @Bjornebye, it was visible when I smiled. I was with an NHS dentist so the cost wasn’t going to be too bad. But, they kept on cancelling appointments on me. A few times without informing me but swearing blind that they’d sent me a text. And, while they’re the experts, I wasn’t happy with the treatment plan as they wanted to leave the retained root in and put the denture over it. I read that that can work but it can also cause pain if the denture puts pressure on the retained root. I went private instead. The treatment just seemed a whole lot better and professional. No cancelled appointments. And they said that the suggestion of leaving the retained root in was really bad practice and that NHS dentists try to minimise the treatment they do as they only get paid the one set fee under the band payment system. The dentist I had was Romanian and she wouldn’t have looked out of place in their women’s Olympic shot putting team. Ended up paying around £800 all in with a standard new patient check up, hygienist visit, extraction and denture. I apparently have a very strong bite so she thought that a bridge wouldn’t be strong enough and could snap on me. It’s a dear do and a national disgrace that loads of people can’t get in to see a decent NHS dentist anymore.
