  1. I really don't get the desperate measures these so called journalists and pundits try to take for us to constantly sell our best players. This rivals the windows when they wanted us to sell Suarez to Arsenal and then again the following year. Why? I don't see the same stupid opinions about the mancs or Arsenal or Chelseas best players?
  2. The tension is palpable... will he, or won't he sign? I can't bear it. I feel like a virgin, about to be touched for the very first time...
  3. I've never wanted us to sign a player more than I want us to sign this guy.
  4. Surprised at the lack of debate regarding this. I just might splash out on a new kit as opposed to waiting a year for it to go on sale as I usually do... and let my kids eat dry bread for a couple of weeks to as a result (it retails this side for the equivalent of what is about 90 Pounds). It looks effing beautiful. The away, not so much so. I sort of like the homage to the old block green and white blocks we had in the 90's, but it's not as sexy as that was. Speaking of sexy, that 3rd kit just makes me want to blow my load. Dutch orange with black writing...
  5. Hey, the faux fro is awesome. I wish I could have rocked it.

  7. That's the most cringe-inducing thing I've seen this month...
  8. What exactly is this crap?
  9. Mummified bodies don't really rot... they removed all the internal organs so as to avoid spoilage...
  10. If he was fasting, it could definitely have contributed to him dying... coupled with his high energy playing style. It's quite simple really, a lot of muslim footballers don't fast on match days and do very light training during the week. It's a sad case. 30 is ridiculously young.
  11. Sorry mate, but you're a bit wrong here. He really looked decent in the few minutes he got when he played for Chelsea, but being a young player under Mourinho meant that he was never going to be given a fair chance. Brandt is a good young player, but doesn't have the pace and directness we need in the side, which Salah would provide. In terms of depth and squad balance, we need a direct speedy winger as we currently only have Mane in that position, and not a left or right sided midfield technician, which Coutinho or Lallana can both operate in. Also, we faffed around over a few million at the time, or Ayre tried to low ball Basel, after which Chelsea swooped in, offered their asking price and offered better terms to the player causing the deal to fall flat. Hardly am indictment on the player, more so on our management at the time.
  12. Although two fantastic players, they don't address the lack of pace permeating through the team.
  13. The names you've listed are world class, or potentially world class players!
  14. This deserves some recognition. I truly appreciate it.
  15. Lack of love for Garcia is sad to see. Loved the little bugger. Id go with the same, except swap Sami for Alonso, or not. Its a tough one. Used to go rock hard for Mcmanaman and Berger when I was a kid as well. And Owen, the cretinous cunt.
  16. As an African, I fucken despise the tournament. It's pathetic. The quality of football, the pitches, the stadiums, commentary, the fact that it's basically worthless due to it being held every two years instead of four...
  17. How, in all aspects of the game, was that not at the very least a yellow for that granny shagging baboon?
  18. I disagree completely. We do need anyone between the posts to be amazing. If we upgrade from poor to mediocre, then chances are that we are going to be stuck with a mediocre player for quite a while. This would make upgrading to good very difficult as we'll be stuck with a mid table player, on high wages, who we've paid a crapload for that no one will want or say that they can afford. It was that thinking that got us saddled with Hodgson, and all the dross that weve bought since (sadly under Kenny and Rodgers as well). Throughout his career, Heaton has shown himself to be solid. We need better than solid. Yes, he could be brought in, but at a much higher price than he's actually worth. He's in his prime now, and playing at a standard higher than he's ever done before. I highly doubt that he'd improve much at this stage of his career. Its a move that screams out short-term thinking. I would have loved for us to go after Mandanda last summer, as I always thought he was class at Marseille and is in his prime with probably 5-6 years in him, but that boat has sailed. Horn would have been a good shout, but we went for Karius who had better statistics.
  19. And Im reluctant to sign a 30 year old journeyman goalie that has never piqued the interest of any upper mid table side, let alone a top side. He's doing incredibly well this season, but that form will not keep up. Guaranteed. We saw the same with Mignolet when we signed him. Playing for Liverpool is not the same as playing for Burnley.
  20. If I was peppered with shots for a full 90 I'd make quite a few saves as well. He's shite.
  21. How many times have we come back from going behind under Klopp now? Its a far cry from just over a year ago when a lot of these players would just give up. Long may it continue.
