Get back to basics mate, start with your grip and hand position. It's the first thing we subconciously start fiddling with. Make sure you can see 3 knuckles on your left hand and the crease between your thumb and forefinger on your left hand pointing to your right shoulder. Aim your clubface at your target and your stance square, only have 1 thought on your back swing (I use da,da,da,da,da for my rhythm and nothing else.) Pull the trigger and watch it fly.(hopefully). But seriously take it right back to basics mate.

Wow charles that's going for it a bit more than me. I have worked alot on my swing plane, there's an interesting article in golf monthly this month about getting the right plane for you, but most of what I am working on is getting a smooth, rythmical swing that I can rely on. I am more in the camp of keep it natural, smooth and with a good rythm rather than trying to get you swing to be mechanically perfect like Faldo. Personally I think your swing is different from person to person yet to most people they all look the same. Look at some of the great players on tour and some of the young guns coming through and you'll see what I mean. Faldo is mechanically perfect, he just clicks the ball off the surface bearly ruffling the grass let alone leaving a divot. Tiger has massive swing speed from his whole body, look at some of his drives when he was younger and he was on his toes at the point of impact, he has slowed a bit now but he still has a very quick body rotation. Els, the big easy, never looks like he has much body rotation speed but hits it a coutry mile with a very late wrist action giving him insane clubhead speed at impact. Jiminez has a totally unorthadox swing but I love it. One to watch on youtube. Then you have the young guns who have admired these players on built their own games aroundd at they have been watching. Rory has massive hip rotation to create his speed, over 700 degrees per second, most tour pros have hip speeds around 580 D.P.S and most club players alot slower. With this his upper body has no option than to turn very fast. Bubba is self taught and at times it shows but it does show how a natural swing works. I played on and off for a couple of years 10 years ago then stopped playing because of a knee injury, I used to hit the range every few months to keep my hand in as much as I could. Been back playing for a year now and loving it with my fixed knee.

Well I played in the monthly medal on Saturday and thought alot about my course management. Had a couple of hicups and took my medicine for them with a 6 on a par 3 and a 6 on a short par 4. Was chuffed to fuck to get a birdie 2 on a 186 yard par 3 over water with a little chip in from about 6 foot. All went well until I double crossed myself hooking one hard left finally getting off the hole with a shit 9 that ruined my card. Matchplay game on Friday in a semifinal then a match against Treloy, a local club, on Saturday. Hoping to get out before then for another practice round with this driver as I'm getting better and better with it the more I understand it.
