  1. It's only interesting in so far as it reveals the depths of that Chelsea fan's inferiority complex, and the lengths he'll go to to disguise it. And if Liverpool fans are Catholics, then Chelsea fans are Scientologists - small in number, no traditions, no credibility, and full of closet gayers.
  2. I've never doubted the good intentions of SOS for one minute but, to my mind, time and again they've shown themselves to be out of touch and lacking in political and diplomatic nous, something which they may well see as a virtue. It's not though, not when you have to put across a good representation of yourself if you expect to progress in your dealings with others. If SOS was a person he'd be diagnosed Autistic. Take this letter. Leaving aside the content, the tone in which it was delivered was at best overly formal, at worst pithy, hostile, antagonistic, confrontational. Fucking hell, I'd imagine any writ served on Henry by Hicks would have more warmth about it. Did no-one have a look over this letter before it was sent? Pretty much everyone who's read the letter on the forums (including SOS supporters) has noted how poorly it was executed, surely there must be someone at SOS Towers with a bit of common sense. Unless, of course, I've read them all wrong, and their intention is to turn this into another 'us vs them' situation. Actually, that would make sense, given how their whole indentity is wrapped up in their battles with the previous owners. Perhaps they just can't let go of that role. If that's the case then, IMO, they need to because FSG are not the previous owners, and thus far have done nothing to suggest they will behave in the same manner. On the contrary, in the short time they've been here they've displayed all the hallmarks of responsible and honourable custodians of the Club. Any more needlessly cold letters like this though and FSG might not only question their relationship with SOS, but with the fanbase in general, which has been impeccable so far.
  3. Just seen Holloway's press conference on SSN. He's banging on about how he didn't want Adam to come to us because we saw him as a third choice with our attention on Suarez and Carroll. Only three days ago he was saying, boasting, that his chairman wasn't answering calls from us. What a prick. I thought he was a better man than to pretend it was concern for the players future rather than Blackpool's own needs that stopped them letting Adam go. He's been treated like shit by Blackpool.
  4. My opinion of him has only changed in as much as I now think he's a cunt of a man, and that's due to recent events off the field. The Chelsea fans I'm talking about have done a complete u-turn on what they thought of him as a player, from over-rated to world class - despite the fact he's had a pretty shite season (by his usual standards) so far.
  5. Before the move, a glance at any Chelsea forum would tell you that the vast majority of their fans thought (or at least claimed to believe) that Torres was over-rated, too injury prone, a whinger and a diver. And a bigger cunt than Mongo. For some reason, their opinion has changed somewhat over the past few days. Although they probably still think he's a bigger cunt than Mongo.
  6. The Kinks - Plastic Man. The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again.
  7. Why should we give a fuck what every other set of fans thinks about our transfer business? Do you think they give a fuck what you think about thiers? Personally, I think we've done a great bit of business in very trying circumstances. Last week our we had Babel and Torres (a sometimes world-class striker who often couldn't be arsed and had injury issues) - now we've got Saurez and Carroll instead, with no financial outlay at all. Of course Carroll was overpriced, but as long as it's not coming out of my bank account, and as long as we've got more money to spend in the future (which I'm now confident we will have) then I don't care what we spend. And Torres was also overpriced, by about the same amount (£15m) IMO. So if you want to talk about fair prices then I look at it this way: £35m for Torres, and £20m, for Carroll. Anyway, most non-Liverpool fans I've spoken to agree that we've come out of this stronger.
  8. @bullshitterlfc said: Sources tell me Barca putting together Villa & Silva & 80m for Torres package. City rumours are bollocks though.
  9. He still does it better. YouTube - Alan Partridge - Oooohmm Sex!
  10. I just hope Blackpool are as unprepared for that line-up as we were.
  11. Show Slur the way to the next whisky bar, Al don't ask why, Al don't ask why.
  12. I know, what a load of bollocks! As if an ordinary working man can be compared to a multi-millionaire who's failing on a multi-million pound contract. Probably the most ridiculous criticism I've seen so far. No doubt there will be worse to come though. Anyway, fuck 'em.
  13. Before the Man U game? I can't see that. Fucking ecstatic if true though.
  14. Personally, I could forgive him his shit-speak if we were playing good football and winning games (although turning on the fans shows, at best, a massive lack of judgement). My biggest problem with his comments is the probability that he's coming out with exactly the same negative crap in the dressing room.
  15. The whole thing's so shot through with agendas as to make him untrustworthy when it comes to the 'facts'. And for those who say it rings true, it makes sense - well, that's the way with the best lies.
  16. Someone needs to update Keegan on the change in the ownership and the board since Roy was hired. Seriously, I love Keegan, but how the fuck can you respect someone's opinion when they're so ill-informed as to the basic facts.
  17. Well Tom, as a purely functional device, I would have to argue that the sack has served humanity extremely well over the centuries. The transportation of coffee beans, rice and, he he, children's Christmas presents, among many other items, has been greatly enhanced due to the design of said product. Oh, of course, John. I would also add that they make for a great storage receptacle. As long as they're big enough, of course. Oh, that goes without saying Tom. Sturdy too. And cheap. They gotta be cheap.
  18. I wanted Rafa out, but I wanted Kenny in for a season. He wanted the job. Do you think he's some tit too? How about Pellegrini, or Deschamps, both of whom I understand were interviewed for the job? To state that wanting Rafa out equals wanting a manager of Roy's calibre in is bollocks.
  19. We'd do well to get over £10 million for him right now, and I'd take it. Alternatively, why not stick Kelly at RB, play Johnson on the wing till the seasons end and see how he fares? He's got pace, he can take a player on, and he can put a cross in, it's just the defending that he's shit at - which is a bit of a problem for someone who plys his trade as a defender. But yeah, I agree with the OP. Too many players have been hiding behind the managers failings (both Roy's and Rafa's), and need a kick up the arse or kicked out the club. They might not like the manager's system, they might not like his character, but for the thousands they get paid each week they should at least put in a fucking shift.
  20. I'm sure they do realise, and I hope that dosen't factor into their decision. It's tempting to say that no-one could do worse than Roy, but people said the same about Rafa - and we ended up with Roy. I'm no Rafapologist by any stretch, and I want Roy out, but the decision when to remove him has to be a considered one, not the result of pressure from fans.
  21. If I decided I didn't like my job, but I had a family to support and a mortgage to pay, I wouldn't walk out on the spot and then start looking around, I'd look around for a another job first, then walk out. That wouldn't be dithering, that would be common sense.
  22. Nando: "I'm out of here." Lucas: "What's that Nando?" Nando: "Erm, the sky looks clear."
  23. He said it a couple of days ago, to Sky. Whether there's any truth to it, fuck knows, but I'd welcome him here.
