McCarthy apparently watched again today. I think signing him makes more sense than Adam myself.

From the little i've seen he looks potentially better than Pacheco. Little Dani is a little bit inconsistent in his play. He'll play a top class through ball one minute and then have a dodgy touch the next. Everything Suso does seems to be class.

15 minute highlights are on LFC.tv 10.15pm Wednesday. Apparently Suso had another good game as did Jack Robinson.

We won't be much different to Everton.

Is Cooper playing left back?

They tried Mavinga at left back in the reserves last week. Wouldn't be surprised if they are seeing whether he could be an option. He actually looked pretty average but if they kept him there for the rest of the season I'm sure he could develop into a pretty decent left back (albeit a little limited offensively). Kelly played a few games there whilst he was at Huddesfield and could be an option. I think Felipe will end up at Barca or Madrid so our best bet is probably someone like Taiwo although he wouldn't come cheap.

I agree totally. When he has space in front of him to run into he looks good but when he's in a tight corner or during patient build up play he can look average. His overall game is improving but I think he would be found out if we threw him in too soon. If he is willing to work hard at his game then by this time next year he may have a chance. On the left we are pretty strong. Personally I think Mavinga could turn into a pretty decent LB (although not the most offensive) and could be ready to push for a place by next season. Bruna was improving before his injury so he may still have an outside chance. Personally I can't see Kacaniklic making it here but I'm pretty confident Buchtmann has got enough ability to gradually replace Aurelio in the squad within the next couple of years. Tom Ince and Jack Robinson look pretty good for the youths but it's impossible to really judge them until they start playing in the reserves. The new Spanish lad Suso is also left sided and sounds a similar type of player to Merida so hopefully within a few years he may be ready.

I'm planning on buying a laptop to watch footy streams on and use for internet, music and photos. Anyone know what the best one out there is for watching streams of the footy? Anyone know what specs I need to be looking for. Could probably stretch up to £1,200 if I'm going to get really good streams (and then I'd ditch sky). If anyone could give me some advise would really appreciate it. Cheers

For about £5m(or less) he'd be a great signing. He'd be good competition for Riera and I'm sure before long he'd replace him. Technically he's very good and he's also pretty quick. I'm sure he'll be one of the best wide left players in the pl within a couple of years and a regular for England. It would be stupid not to sign him on the cheap.

The only reason why I'd want him back on the cheap is that we could send N'gog out on loan for 6-12 months of first team football which I think he'd greatly benefit from. That and the fact that he is pretty good in the air when defending set pieces (shite when attacking them).

I think considering his age Palsson looks a much better prospect than Plessis or Spearing. In some ways he's a cross between the two of them. He seems to be pretty good in all departments and I'm pretty hopeful within a year or two he'll be challenging. He's also got himself a molby-esque scouse accent.

Not much different to the CL regulations ; 8 "homegrown" players in a 25 man squad. Fortunately, insua and pacheco will qualify by next season. We are just about on the limit. This has been in the pipeline for the last 6 months so it's no wonder we paid so much for Johnson. In some ways it places more importance in getting a few more coming through from the academy. This news bangs the final nail in Degen's Liverpool coffin and means the likes of El Zhar and voronin are next in line if we want to sign any more foreigners.

I wouldn't say he should have started the game but it was disappointing that he didn't get on when we were 2 or 3 up.

Some of the above are on the B list. Plessis, Insua, Amoo and Eccleston I believe. You can put as many players as you like on this list as long as they are under 21 and been with the club for 2 years. I'm surprised Pacheco isn't on it but you can add to the list at any time throughout the season.

While our revenues cover the debt repayment they will hold on to us indefinitely until they get a big enough offer. The only thing that might change this is if we drop out of the CL positions. They may then be forced to sell. Personally I think they will try to bring in another investor soon rather than sell.

I missed the game tonight so didn't see his performance. Anyone know why he is ahead of Kelly? I'm not knocking him or Rafa just wondering if anyone had noticed what he has that Kelly hasn't? The only thing I can think of is positional sense. Long term I would imagine Kelly will turn out to be the better player.

I wouldn't be surprised if lavezzi stays put. I think Napoli are going to play 343 next season with doss on the left of the 4, wing back style and 3 forwards. They should have a half decent shot at a CL place next season.

Distin can play left back but Pompey don't want to sell and Villa are interested so wouldn't be surprised if we get priced out of that deal. I doubt if Micah Richards would come cheap and I'd prefer Martin Kelly to be RB/CB cover. If Arbeloa and Dossena both leave we'll need someone to come in but it won't be easy to get the right player for the right price.

Had a look on a Roma forum. Half of them seem to want to cash in on him as he is so injury prone whereas the other half are worried he's going to move on and become the top class player he has the potential to be. In my opinion a sick note is always a sick note so I'd stay well clear, otherwise we could be relying on Lucas next season. :whoops:
