This thread isn't very positive, is it? For my part I've found Muslims to be extremely nice people when you get to know them. I've lived in a Muslim country for 6 years and honestly haven't had a bad experience with any one of them. Oh, and yes, their food is excellent too.

This is untrue. It may apply in some places but certainly does not apply to every Islamic state.

I use Astrill and find it to be pretty good. Not sure how much I pay because I pay a bit extra to allow 5 devices to connect at once (I install astrill onto my router then everything just connects through there as normal). It's got servers everywhere but I only use UK and US servers depending on what netflix I want to watch. Have definitely found that it's worth paying for a VPN though as the bandwidth of free versions can be a bit restrictive.

It is wishful thinking, that was kind of the point of my post, things that I wish to happen. And yes, Valdes would have been a good option but since he's probably off to the mancs hopefully we have a plan B.

Hopefully we've got our eye on another keeper for January. I actually think a lot of our defensive calamities could be cleared up by having a commanding keeper at the back. I'm not saying Mignolet is the only one to blame, our defence has been shite in general, but it looks like nobody has a fucking clue what's going on back there and a strong, commanding keeper can only help. I want a keeper that can come straight into the first team and bollock players who were here before him, I want a keeper to be able to command his box, I want a keeper to be brave and I want a keeper that our defenders can trust. To me it looks like Mignolet is none of these things, it's a shame because he's a good shot stopper but for me he has until the January window to grow a massive set of plums or he has to take a seat on the bench.

I was thinking about this last night. I wonder if we had someone lined up assuming the Borini transfer went through but when he refused to go it left us with half the money and raking about in the bargain basement with the window about to close. It's possible, however it's also possible that we never set our sights any higher than a £15m back up. Either way the club fucked up and a suitable replacement for Suarez should have been our first purchase. A player that could fit in with the way we played our football, not someone that would force us to change our approach to a game.

Brutal that. We did have chances to score but made a right fucking mess of them. The most worrying thing for me (apart from the clockwork conceding from set pieces) is that it looks like we don't have a style of play at all. Last season we'd start with pace, put the opponent on the back foot and when they had to come out chasing the game we'd kill them with pace and quick passing. I couldn't even work out what our gameplan was there, we didn't look as though we were keeping it tight looking for a draw, we didn't try and quickly pass through them, we didn't get it wide and cross it, we just looked clueless. Lots of work to do for Rodgers, I'm sure the return of Allen and Sturridge will help but I thought the whole point of buying 9 players in the summer was to be able to cope with injuries.. We need to change something because if we play like this all season, we'll be lucky to finish top half. Ugh.

Not for the goal, no. I think it came off Skrtel then hit off someone's back so he didn't have time to react properly. I had actually typed that bit out for the incident that led to the corner they scored from. The ball came off him and fell nicely in the 6 yd box, although I'm not sure it may have bounced and hit his other hand.

Lethargic and sloppy all over the pitch, we look a million miles from the team that finished last season. Need better passing and movement in the second half, maybe our players could try playing together, y'know, like a team. Too many players looking like strangers out there, we don't look as if we know each other at all. Desperately missing Sturridge up top, not enough movement off the ball from the others. Midfield needs to do more, both in getting forward in support when we've got the ball and stopping them running off us when they've got it. All to play for though, come on reds.
