  1. I have opened a panel. I have also picked up a 'thingy'. Should be out in a jiffy.
  2. ...not a lot to discuss...unless you wanna provide some excitment by revealing why you remained in the same position all afternoon. Perhaps you were held captive by a band of amazonian vixens?
  3. I can relate entirely to your post. I have been to the ground hundreds of times, but each time I still get an excited feeling. When I am walking up Walton-Breck road and I see the back of the Kop it still makes the hair stand up on my neck. I am glad you shared your tale with us. I tried to get Mrs Jennings into it. But she wasn't captivated. At her first match we (the crowd) were all booing Mikkel Beck for getting Dominic Matteo sent off. She looked really excited and I thought "Oooh she is getting hooked."...but she followed it up with "Heyy, this is just like panto!". I was soo disappointed that I haven't taken her back to Anfield since.
  4. Anthony Buckeridge. His books made me laugh out loud - such a rarity.
  5. "Why Can't a Woman Be More Like a Man?" Professor Henry Higgins
  6. My brother was going camping for his staggy. Weirdo! I couldn't be arsed going. I am too posh to camp. So he tried to encourage me, he said "Oh come on Jennings, you'll have a great laugh." He continued his sales pitch, "Last time we went I got so pissed that I shat my sleeping bag and we had to bury it." I couldn't work out whether he wanted me to come or was deliberately trying to put me off.
  7. Will it be easy to get tickets for the Atletico game d'ya reckon? Will I have to get a new membership card first, even for friendlies?
  8. You must have been the fat wheezy asthmatic kid? Mind you he still got picked before me at footie. :(
  9. I have bought two electric guitars. AN Ibanez and a Fender Strat. The Fender Strat is much easier to play. It really is a great piece of workmanship. I highly recommend it. Mine is Mexican but still good quality. £300 from the guitar shop near Central station. As far as amps go... I can recommend buying one of these and connecting to your computer. Then connect the outputs to a stereo amp. I got mine off ebay for £28. It simulates all different guitaist sounds which you can download off the internet for free. So you just go download the guitar sound for a particular song. You can also record your guitar into a multi-track recording software - for example play along with a midi or mp3 track...I prefer midi because you can strip out the existing guitar track. I know you asked about Amps, but the above is a good cheap and versatile setup. My Amp is a Vox AD30VT - I have had a few problems - the pots go a bit funny on mine.
  10. The lighthearted tale of the game of charades that John told was funny.
  11. Stop it! I am crying here. Is that true or your pulling my plonker? I didn't see the '02 episode.
  12. There is a documentary on at 21:00 on Beeb1 about Tourettes. It is a follow up to one made many years ago about a kid who couldn't stop swearing. Now, I know that afflications are not to be mocked, but was mildly funny when he called his teacher a dickhead.
  13. Well your manners, vocabulary and grammar are better than most on here, so I'm up for a love-in. My suggestion is to make a seperate introductory post on the 'General forum', mentioning your favourite player/match. Then enjoy the banter. Welcome.
  14. Anyone reading this awesome thread should feel dutybound to pay for a years subscription! It has everything drama, comedy and legal advice. It's like an episode of 'Lost', in that every answer Simon gives leads to more questions. I belly laughed at this and woke up the baby. :(
  15. I am not so good at street talk, is "rocking the shit" good or bad? :)
  16. It seem to take a day or too for the features to be enabled, if you make a donation via PayPal. But it seemed to be instantaneous if you do the annual subscription shenanigans.
  17. Class ranting that. It cheered me up no-end to see someone in a more grumpy mood than myself.
