    There has always been a difference I feel in how the two communities dealt with paramilitary violence. There has long been a view in certain quarters that the Catholic Church in many ways acquiesced (think thats how you spell it doh) with republican violence and with this blessing and the links between the church and the social and community infrastructure in nationalist / republican areas the electoral support for the shinners has always been evident. Loyalist violence on the other hand has not had the same level of support by and large from the mainstream Protestant churches and thus the electoral support for paramilitary linked Loyalist parties has not been as evident with the noteable exception of the PUP iin East Belfast. And if we bring social class into the mix we could be here til the Boyne freezes over

    It's shocking how little is reported about whats going on in NI There is fuck all going on in NI - Except that the Unionists are now in cahoots with the bastard Tories and I will never vote for them again (Angry North Down Protestant Gentleman) We need the Labour Party to organise over here and the SNP and that funny Welsh one that burnt cottages. Then we would have all the useless cunts to choose who we wern't voting for. Need a 'none of the above' box on voting papers. Its 13.18 and still nothing happening in NI. I'll keep you posted!!
