  1. Thats what I'm asking you. And are there studies which show that scrapping VAT would be affordable? It raises £162b at the moment. That's quite the black hole.
  2. Is this a rule they could have enacted before we left? They were in charge at the time.
  3. Because that would give a lie to the claims that we couldn't make our own laws.
  4. Well, especially if they don't appear to be enforcing the rules for some teams.
  5. We really do need to make a statement tomorrow night. None of this half arsed opening 20 minutes - we need to be at them and pressing from the front from the off. When they played Arsenal, they visibly gave up when the 3rd went in. We need to do the same and keep going to the end. Whenever we let up the intensity, we always give the relegation fodder hope of nicking something.
  6. They've got a home game against Bournemouth at the weekend. They're probably prioritising that. Understandable, but as you say, irritating as fuck. Arsenal have got to be the jammiest team in the league. If it's not facing under strength sides, it's flukey deflected winners.
  7. Watch Brentford v Brighton, safe in the knowledge that you're not arsed who wins.
  8. It's more of a penalty than the ones given to Chelsea and Newcastle. You could argue that they shouldn't have been given either - but they were. When you factor in the threshold for free kicks Coote had established for himself whenever Brighton players tumbled to the floor, not giving this is pretty scandalous really.
  9. There was an incident late in the second half when Mo was surrounded by three Brighton players and looked to be dragged to the floor, but Coote just waved play on. There must have been something in it as Mo was furious. As you say, Mo doesn't get those - or any decisions seemingly.
  10. It seemed to stem from him saying something to one of the Chelsea players as she went to take a throw (using a different ball rather than the single match ball, which Chelsea themselves had asked for). The Chelsea player didn't like it and neither did Hayes. Don't know what he'd said, but yeah, the shove makes her come across as a bad loser. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2024/mar/31/chelseas-emma-hayes-criticises-male-aggression-of-arsenals-jonas-eidevall
  11. I didn't come on her to be fucked at. Apparently.
  12. I find it depressing. In as much as this base will still vote Tory regardless.
  13. Was the philanthropy giving £5m to the Tories?
  14. It's like he's been employed by a focus group chasing the same demographic that the bbc were when they changed the format of Question of Sport.
  15. It'll be interesting to see if every Brighton tumble is rewarded with a free kick in those games. I doubt it.
  16. In fairness to Arsenal, beating your title rivals at home and drawing with them away isn't a bad result at all. The onus was on City to win it and, as many have already mentioned, deal with Haaland and they're pretty toothless (barring the usual refereeing assistance).
  17. Yeah, I'm getting suspicious about this shite as well. I can see one thing clearly on the screen, and a commentator saying something else. Some of it may be confirmation bias, but not all - especially when they don't show it again.
  18. If one lino is waiting (or not flagging at all), then you have defenders having to make unnecessary tackles and there's a feeling in the attacking team that they're building pressure - especially if they then win a corner that would otherwise have been given offside. There was a moment today where Bradley was flagged immediately for what looked like a pretty close decision. They never showed it again.
  19. Draw probably fair. Would love to see those two fight again.
  20. It's bollocks. The lines will still come out to determine if it was the whole body or not. Keep it as it is.
