  1. An emergency caused be the dumb fucks who signed him, but yes please spent this summer justifying it too.
  2. That’s not how executive level management works. If we had a sporting director we would have put Ward on gardening leave ASAP and brought in the new guy. Doing anything else would be batshit insane, you never scupper the fortunes of your business to let your current employee hang around for a few months. Thanks for the clarification on the doctor.
  3. Fucking hell the transfer thread normally only reads this depressingly at the end of the window when people suddenly start realizing we’re ran by a bunch of mingebags, but this year they’ve really dampened expectations. Klopp coming out yesterday saying we won’t be held to ransom for players. So which is it? Are we waiting for the one right player like you bemoaned last year or do we now have a list of 20 to pick from until we find the 3 we can afford? I love the man but I can’t be bothered with his Yes Man press conferences anymore. Zero confidence in the club at the moment. At least in the past when we were broke mingebags there was a feeling that we had a cohesive and strategic footballing plan. Not anymore. Who is our sporting director? Who is replacing Ward, the LFC fan who got his dream job to willingly fuck it off in 6 months? Have we got a club doctor yet?
  4. Fucks sake. If these cunts get taken over by Qatari's we may as well pack it in.
  5. Looking at the work we have to do this summer based on the future of our current squad and fucking hell do we have a lot to sort out. It's even worse than many of us predicted last year. Fabinho - First team option Henderson - Squad option only Jones - Squad option only Bajetic - Promising youth prospect Elliott - Promising youth prospect Thiago - Looking likely to be sold or injured Milner - Leaving on a free Keita - Leaving on a free Ox - Leaving on a free So, hoping that Fab is not as shite as he has been this year, he is our only real first team midfielder that we can rely on. Hendo is too old, needs to play half as many games. Jones has promise but has significant fitness issues and his quality is up for question. Bajectic has been our most impressive midfielder this year but he is very young. Thiago looks set for an Op, we should just get rid as we're paying him wages for 1 game every 5 matches. Losing two useless cunts on a free and James Milner seems to also be leaving. Given all of that - it is no question in my mind, we need 3 midfielders. And we'd better hope they all hit the ground running for fucks sake. LCM - Mac Allister seems all but done for 65M or so. He will be our LCM. DM - Ugarte/Thuram/Kone would be good for the 6 and cost 50M, allowing us to rest or push Fab to his best. Caicedo is a no go as he will be 85M. In an ideal world we would get Tchoumeni for 70M. RCM - This was supported to be Bellingham but alas. We've heard about Mount, Ghallager, Gravenberch, Nunes...all uninspiring IMO. In an ideal world we would get Barella for another 70M. That's an approximate 180-200M spend. The fact that we will likely have half of that amount, and also need to fund the purchase of a defender, is depressing. Here's how we would line up if we didn't have tight fisted cunts as owners. Mac Allister - LCM (65m) Barella - RCM (70m) Tchoumeni - DM (70m) Fabinho - DM Henderson - DM/RCM Jones - LCM/RCM Elliott - RCM Bajectic - DM Don't even know why I bothered typing all of that out because we are likely going to end up with some second tier bullshit signings.
  6. Gravenberch I am not convinced about. He actually reminds of Naby and Gapko. He's not particularly aggressive in his press or vertical progression. He was definitely a promising midfielder but we wouldn't be going near him if he wasn't cut price. Which is a sad indictment on our current state of affairs. Still have a bunch of broke cunts as owners. Still getting away with it year after year.
  7. OR the instance where we literally won the fucking thing to spend a grand total of 1m on Sepp Van der Berg.
  8. As one of those critics, I learned a long time ago that a lot of our fanbase has sadly been mesmerized by the FSG propaganda machine (and yes, I mean machine, because it's absolutely something they manage excellently). This is not the first time they have fucked us over, it's just the latest time. There'll be a PR rhetoric pushed down our throats over the next few months, folks will get the dopamine hit from our next new (albeit less impressive than Bellingham) signing and go into next season with no option but to hold renewed hope because...well, that's what football fans do.
  9. Yup. People think that the accounts are ever going to show "50m - John Henry's back pocket". It doesn't fucking work like that. Hiding profit is a corporate truism, but in an industry as loosely regulated as football, it's the fucking status quo.
  10. Okay, seeing as I have literally worked in M&A valuation and have looked at hundreds of pages of accounts over the years, you won't have a problem with my opinion. That being... If anybody believes our wage bill, or the general concept that we made only 7.5m in profit last year, then you are a fucking moron.
  11. Spot on. And in regards to paying their employee's millions, only the football players and executives mind. For all the "FSG saved Liverpool" bollocks, I wonder how well paid any of the locally sourced staff get paid. Fuck all. Par for course for a football club maybe, but them sportswashing cunts have done far more for the city of Manchester than FSG have ever done for the city of Liverpool. It's sad how many Liverpool fans have fallen, or previously fell, for FSG's propaganda. And it is propaganda - well organized and strategic PR.
  12. Funny that, I had a raft of cunts on here who kept telling me that FSG aren't making a dime off Liverpool. Their CEO seems to think they've done pretty well milking us dry.
  13. From that lens it's always been "meaningless". Or are there still fans that "this means more" at Liverpool because they are owned by a bunch of white American hedge fund venture capitalists, who visit the city of Liverpool once every two years?
  14. The reason why he's been universally underwhelming is because the team's form, tactics, his position on the field, FSG and the size of Linda's left tit have fuck all bearing with his ability to press with aggression or make a single incisive pass or look like he can fucking strike a ball cleanly. Darwin has also come into a shitshow of a team but has done far more to give us confidence. And I'm not exactly his biggest fan either.
  15. If we bought Nunez and added him to our PL winning team or either CL finalist team, he would be fucking soaring. It’s so obvious that’s he’s a confidence player and currently looks dogshite often because the entire team is so low on confidence. Gakpo is rubbish. I had this opinion before we bought him so it’s not reactionary. If anything I tried to forget my opinion when he signed to give him a chance. But he’s distinctly average. Here’s to him proving me wrong hopefully. Either way, I would not have signed either. Money pissed up a tree indeed.
  16. In the last five years arsenal (amongst about 6 other teams) have had a higher net spend than us. They’ve just bid for Caicedo. Are they cheats?
  17. Ah yes, all the cheats. 15 clubs had a higher net spend than us last season, the bunch of fucking cheats.
  18. I think Joe Cole could get a kit on and run with more intensity than Gakpo has so far
  19. @dave u a few weeks ago on the pod you had mentioned that you dont think the owners have refused klopp money when he has wanted it. today he has all but confirmed that he wants to strengthen but there is no money. he essentially said, if there was money, do you not think I would be using it? could you try address this on an upcoming pod? because I think it is clear as crystal that all of those who called the owners minge bags on the FSG thread were right. we are about to make record profits but they are refusing to release funds.
  20. the wolves goal is not offside. how the fuck can nunes be offside, the ball went backwards when it went back out to him?
  21. this is true, but having a low-pressing, ball to feet left winger does not make sense in our current system at all. we might as well play carvalho or elliott there. its the same issue. he should either play as the 9 or play in the 3 in a 4231 gakpo is more like sancho and ziyech than a sadio mane.
