  3. the only thing i remember andy gray for is "game well and truely over" its the second best line by a commentator ever my mate met him about 10 years ago, as he had had a few he asked him if he had made the right desicion leaving villa 3 months before they won the european cup, apparently he gave him a mouthfull and walked off

  8. the toxteth riots werent about racism, they were a social revolt against the government blacks, whites, asian all threw bricks together
  9. im sorry if this has already been posted but on sunday i caught the scumbags celebrating, (only had the game on because the wife is from blackpool, and she sees them as her second team) and that midget is jumping up and down with the rest of them, having played the last five minutes of 11 games he can now have premier league winner on his profile for doing less than he did for us in his last season now i always thought you had to have played in 15 games to get a medal when did it change p.s. im not knocking him for what he did for us, as he brought us some good moments, but he was no god, and always put his own ego before any club he has played for
  10. god i'm crap at this technology thing, i'm trying to put a picture of skrtel up, as that kid in the game always reminds me of him

  13. ancient military history - julius cesar (gave the french a kicking) medieval military- henry v (gave the french a kicking) elizabethan military history - sir francis drake (gave the french a kicking) 19th century military history - duke of wellington (gave the french a kicking) nautical military history - nelson (gave the french a kicking) modern era - bill gates (could afford his own army to give the french a kicking)
  14. i think the king is by far the better at mind games too the only time whiskey nose has had the upper hand on other managers is when the king wasnt around. take the first game back at the luner stadium, the king waited in the tunnel for five or so minutes after the we had gone onto the field, he then walked out with fergie. the mancs aren't going to hurl abuse as fergie walks out. would fergie have thought about that if the game was at anfield and the game was his first back, probably not
  15. not what im saying at all, ivf doesnt save lives, if people are so desperate to have kids let them have ivf, but why so many attempts, there are also plenty of kids available for adoption or fostering
  16. "Also, your comparision with IVF and Asthma is fucking stupid. Lets not treat broken bones hey, Cancer is more serious lets put all the money into that. What's that sir, you want us to treat your child after she burns her hand? Sorry, we've got aids to cure." i agree everyone has the right to have bones mending, burns treating and cancer curing, the point i was making was that having a child is not a right, i do feel sorry for those people who cant have them, but what if your wife or child was having a life threatening asthma attack, sorry no saltbutamol as we spent it all on ivf treatments
  17. ref the cosmetic surgery, silicon implants, nose jobs, gastric bands, all come free on the nhs if deemed necessary, how a gastric band is deemed necessary is beyond belief, losing weight by exercise or eating correctly would be better, as the person would have to lose weight to have surgery in the first place. 3 ivf treatments at 15k, s this not too much, it could help in the prevention of more serious illnesses, asthma is a life threatening illness and asthmatics have to buy their own inhalors and the nhs actually spends more money a year investigating lepresy, than they do investigating epilepsy. i come across epileptics all the time, but i've never met a leper
  18. going back to what a few of the others have said, you start charging for a ambulance then the old people who really need an ambulance wont call on the other side of things, people take out private health care for better quicker results, but if anything goes wrong, then they are sent straight to the a&e or intensive care were the nhs/tax money picks up the expensive bill, what about having people take out private insurance for any private treatment i'm also against cosmetic surgery (not for disfigurement, burns, accidents, etc), but for cosmetic reasons being on the nhs and why do we have to pay out tens of thousands a time for people who are desperate to have ivf, i agree maybe pay for one on the nhs, but why up to eight or more at £10,000 a time
  19. as a worker in the nhs, i believe its in dire straits, and its not just those muppets at parliament that are killing it the general public, are just as bad, not everyone used common sense 1) using the ambulance service as a taxi service, yes we all think its disgusting but we all know someone who twisted an ankle and used the service, also why cant the public help someone up off the floor instead of putting 8 coats on them, then sitting on them, only for the patient to tell the ambulance staff they are fine and get picked off the floor 2) the weekend binge drinkers, i remember going out with mates who got plastered, we used to take them home and make sure they were all right, now it seems to be call an ambulance as they aint spoiling my night 3) families who want shut of other family members because they are old 4) some people will wait 30 minutes for a ambulance then get walk out to it and get driven the 5 minutes to the hospital, if you can walk to an ambulance then surely you can walk to a taxi 5) people who are sick at 0800, suddenly want an ambulance at 1800, if you arent any worse, how does it become an accident and emergency everytime an ambulance is sent it costs around £800, in the northwest they average 2000 calls a day, thats 10000 a week, 40000 a month, so on, you do the math -the majority of police forces wont take drunks in the cells, that means an ambulance to take them to a&e, and a nurse and doctor to monitor when they could be looking after a seriously ill patient -there is also the hospital management, they are now money men looking to make a profit, when hospitals were run by the senior doctors and matrons, the places were always immaculate -there are also immigrant problems, those who are here illegally getting treatment for years without paying in anything -the nhs tourist who come across knowing the treatment will be free - the majority of gp's dont want to visit patients anymore, and if you manage to get past the "medically trained" receptionist, which is rare, they will tell you to go to hospital, again putting more pressure on the hospitals there are numerous other reason as well, find anyone who works in the nhs they will tell you how affected their area is as i said the unelected condems are bringing the nhs down on its knees so they can make a profit, but they are'nt the only one to be blamed
  20. the show is a complete piss take against the crap shows that are on telly depicting these people, most of the people i know who watched these reality shows actually thought it was set up anyway, which is why it comes across that way, i've a mate who works in immigration who couldnt stop laughing at the recent "i've never heard of liberia" sketch i think the indian guy is complete class, "the plane is delayed due to the mountain in bradford erupting and causing an ash cloud" i suppose if this is crap to most people, they also didnt like peter kays early shows?
  21. the top lot use squad numbers over 40, while the lower lot dont, and four of them dont use the number 7
  22. i lost any respect for rivaldo during the 2002 world cup, a turk kicked the ball back at him, hitting his shin, he hit the dirt in record time holding his face, the turk got a red yes, i know, the turk probably desereved it for being a turk but cash incentives are all the fad in spain, i remember hearing that real madrid sent a suitcase full of money to the hotel of rayo vallecona as an incentive to beat barcelone, this was back in 2003, but if it happened once im sure its happened before by the way the spanish fa dont frown on this, they believe it keeps the sport entertaining
  23. after a twelve hour night shift, a breakfast beer at 0730ish in the morning gets the taste buds turning, beer is so much better in the morning
  24. "I can't remember exact episodes, but I remember enjoying it slightly when I watched it. Better than this Inbetweeners malarkey anyday" fair enough fella, everyone to their own
