    Just read the article in the mag about the academy. Its hard to believe that could be happening at ANY proffesional football club let alone LFC. What a f***ing mess. Rafas stubbon/ruthless streak is really starting to reflect in the first team, to great effect in recent games, but I bet he's a right tetchy moody bastard to work with every day. He's probably like it 24/7. I can picture him plonking himself down next to Hyypia at lunchtime in the canteen, all smiles........until he notices sami's got more peas than him, then his face goes that funny red colour in the cheeks like it does when we lose a game and the rest of the meal is eaten in silence. Next thing you know sami's left out of the champions league squad. And he doesnt talk to the chef for a year.

    He seems like a good player to me.Better than Heskey thats for sure. Clearly we wouldnt be able to sign him til January so by then we should have a a fair idea whether he's any good.     l appreciate comedy is very personal to the individual, but how many fuckin times can the same joke be churned out.     I cant see us keeping a top four spot after this season unless we get new owners. If the two yanks truly saw us as a way to make money this city takeover will severley limit that possibility. It will now cost them big time to keep us in touch otherwise we we are in trouble on so many levels. Hopefully they'll shit it and sell up. We find it hard enough as it is to compete for the very best in the transfer market as well as finish 4th. We dont need city making even harder. Football has gone fuckin mad.     We're simply not making any progress. The signings this summer should have really made us challengers for the title. I appreciate its hard competing for players when you've got parry in on any deal, but given the money we have spent, I wouldnt have blown most of it on Keane. He's a good player but I would have thought that we could have got a good centre fward for 10/12m and spent the rest of the money on two 10m wingers. United come to anfield next and you just know that we will play one up front and be happy with a draw as we have been for the past 2/3 seasons. It isnt good enough. The caution we show in these games against the likes of chelsea, arse and united show were JUST happy to qualify for the champions league.

    One way we carry on with a manager who is on the brink of losing the confidence of his players and fans. The other is pretty major changes that will hurt in the shorterm but will be for the best long term. We all know that it has to start at the very top,and all hope the yanks go. But even if we get decent owners I think rafas had plenty of time and is heading in the wrong direction. That said, we beat the mancs and everything will seem rosy!. This is the problem though, we always seem to be one victory from being a great side and one 0-0 draw from being lightweight also rans.

    Cant decide if we're contenders or pretenders. The table looks good! The actual football is shite. The selections and players playing out of position are baffling. How far away are we from a tabloid "robbie keane" exclusive, where he questions rafas methods? I feel sorry for rafa as I genuinely think he trys his best for the club, but I think his reign is coming to an end, even if the yanks sell up. You can sense the confusion in the players performances (mascherano excluded, as he'd give 100% for anyone) The club is at a major crossroads.

    The problem is always rafas timing. He seems to wait until a really big occasion, or in this case opening day of the season to start getting his digs in. I felt quite optimistic pre season but now just think we're in for another season of crap, very public boardroom v rafa showdowns.

    Alonso is world class. If he can avoid injury he will get even better in the next couple of seasons. Had he gone to Juventus I would have been crapping it at the thought of alonso and sissoko facing us in the champions league. Im still not quite understanding the whole Barry/Alonso thing. If it happens we are going be a very hard working team but not all that inventive.
