  5. good chance to see if pennant and benayoun can play in the same system and replace kuyt/babel
  6. i was afraid to be the first one to drop mascherano, gerrard or babel for aurelio, but i don't mind hiding behind your choice.
  7. is anyone else getting the playboy channel streaming as their half time entertainment, or is it just me ?
  8. i'd like to agree, but i think the addition of benjani is a vast improvement over vassell and that belgian m'penza. i could see them as more of a challenge than everton
  9. you would be too late if you were setting up in canada..... http://www.gardenworks.ca it is my local store and pretty nice. mind you, my all-time favorite was on the side of an old landscape truck. it had a nice simple name and logo like 'ed's garden and landscape company' but to cash in on the elusive internet gardening market, he hand-painted '.com' after it. well, it made me laugh anyways.
  10. i think he was out of position most of the final too - cameroon looked like they were playing three at the back, and he was on the right. i'd also like to add that i was very impressed by the quickness and strength of the egyptians as well.
  11. i only caught the second half of the final, but what a calamity of defending. i don't really remember much of him at liverpool, but what is the general consensus of him from experience ?
  12. i guess when i first looked at it, it seemed to sum up the 'war on terror'. like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. looking at it again, i tend to agree that there are many other worthy shots. p.s. it was in afghanistan, not iraq. "This image shows the exhaustion of a man - and the exhaustion of a nation," says jury chairman Gary Knight, and adds "We're all connected to this. It's a picture of a man at the end of a line." Fellow juror MaryAnne Golon commented: "I use all my energy to have people notice bad things. There's a human quality to this picture. It says that conflict is the basis of this man's life."
  13. romeo dallaire is quite a man, and i'm surprised anyone could carry on after all that pain and suffering. the book is very good......solid canadian, eh ?
  14. i remember her when this whole inter-porn net super highway started, she was a all over the place. definitely a classic porn superstar
  15. the overall winner is a fantastic image. nunavut patrick will enjoy the 'nature story' 2nd place winner..... Winners gallery 2008 - World Press Photo
  16. my apologies - it starts at 6:20 EST
  17. well, if you are seven hours ahead, then it must already be the second quarter what's the score ? seriously, it starts and 5:20pm EST and add 4 hours because of the tedious half time show.
  18. agreed - i'd like to see them lay a proper spanking on the least deserving, luckiest super bowl contender ever*** ***still hurting from the cowboys loss tom brady will throw for 400+
  19. mascherano pennant skrtel (especially compared to his first start)
  20. what a great thread for a first post, but for some reason i'm not allowed to post attachments....is that some sort of rite of passage ?? you don't know what you're missing - it was a winner.
