  1. Wirtz is already one of the best players in thd Bundesliga and as such is nailed on for Bayern, probably next season or as soon as he lets his contract run down.
  2. That’s a way too reasonable and sensible suggestion. Tv companies are not in the business of being reasonable.
  3. ‘Available after the next international break’.
  4. The FA basically saying that it’s ok for a linesman to throw an elbow in a player’s face, but woe betide any player who uses a naughty word to an official.
  5. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/sep/06/fans-have-power-newcastle-fans-urged-to-speak-up-against-saudi-regime A leading Saudi Arabian human rights campaigner has told Newcastle supporters that enjoying the team’s current success and protesting against the kingdom’s often brutal autocracy are not mutually exclusive. Good luck with that, love.
  6. This. But that’s modern football all over, everyone concerned with only their own interests. Man U trying to find a way out not losing money on a prized asset. Every journo and pundit ignoring the City rule breaking and the inept and biased refereeing because it will tarnish the reputation of the league that is richly rewarding them.
  7. This is what happens when you try to define certain laws to the nth degree and lose all sight of common sense.
  8. Classic relegation dog fight. No chance Everton go down, they’ve been creating chances and now look like they can score. They’re looking big and physical, classic Dyche. There will be a minimum of three worse teams than them. How did City only score two against Sheffield, that defence is dog shit.
  9. You’re probably right, but then who the fuck knows what constitutes handball these days. Equally, there was a 30 second sequence not long before half time where you’d be scratching your head to figure out what’s a foul. The more they try to define the rules more explicitly, the more random it becomes
  10. Good luck to Forest with their complaint, but they're going to end up with the same feeling of futility and impotence that we have. And like with us, it'll probably be counter productive when these vindictive, arse-covering fuckers decide to put them in their place. The players probably feel the same as us - they see the referees names getting assigned to their match and their heart sinks. They know they're going to get fucked over, they get fucked over, and there's nothing they can do. Swear at them like Van Dijk and then await the book hurtling through the air at them. There was a tackle by a Spurs player last week, edge of his own box, similar to Van Dijk's - caught the lad a split second before taking the ball, except the Spurs lad went to ground and the contact was much heavier than the Van Dijk tackle - wasn't even given as a foul. As for Tierney booking the Fulham lad for time wasting when there was an Arsenal player in the box - Jeez, what an utter useless (and biased) cunt he is.
  11. And £50m incoming from Fab and Henderson, plus a king’s ransom off the wage bill.
  12. If only there was a place where footballers could make huge money and where the people don’t care about how badly women are treated. Wait, there is but he’s just been kicked out of there. If only there was ANOTHER place like that.’ Brilliant The Dean comments should have sparked a massive debate about the integrity of these fuckers, but the media are far more interested in The Dirty Old Spaniard and that kiss.
  13. Another measure of that cunt Howe is that he can be seen in the video applauding the shithouse foul by Gordon on Trent that led to the yellow and affected massively the subsequent flow of the match.
  14. Agreed. How many times have we seen the exact same foul on Mo, when we don’t even get a free kick, let alone see a card come out.
  15. Yup. With their consistent inconsistency, their petty vendettas, their back covering, their frequent egregious errors and their total lack of accountability and humility, they get exactly the respect they deserve. Zero.
  16. This. If he gets that decision right, there’s no yellow card, there’s no confected controversy about a second yellow for Trent for the foul on Gordon (the kind of foul that’s committed on Mo ten times every game with no punishment), no massive pressure on Trent from the rabid home crowd and possibly no mistake by him on their goal because his head was all over the place at that time.
  17. Scored a good breakaway goal after having had 12( Twelve) % possession. Moyesball
  18. That’s your view, fair enough. I was going to challenge you to name a specific decision of his which was clearly wrong or even slightly dubious which favoured us, but instead I’ll just post this from the very thorough Tompkins analysis which has been linked elsewhere….. ‘ On his own, Greater Manchester’s Paul Tierney has only given three subjective calls in 18 Liverpool games as a VAR … each to disallow a Liverpool goal or rule out a Liverpool penalty due to a subjective decision. Add those to his worrying on-pitch ref data, and no wonder Jürgen Klopp seems to have a massive problem with him. Prior to the moment when Tierney’s assistant elbowed Andy Robertson at half-time against Arsenal, Tierney had done 21-and-a-half games as a Liverpool as ref and 18 as VAR, and given zero Big Decisions for the club in that time (the one sending off for an opponent was by the VAR, Michael Oliver, who got Tierney to overturn a yellow for a last-man foul at Stamford Bridge and make it a red).’ you make a great point about the frequency with which he referees us. He and Taylor reffed 25% of our games last season IIRC, even though they represent about 10% of the referees roster. That’s without adding in their VAR appearances.
  19. We’ll it’s just a bit weird then that he’s at his most incompetent when he’s refereeing us and his incompetence is invariably to our disadvantage.
  20. Rookie ref makes egregious error. It happens. Experienced ref in VAR with benefit of replays and multiple angles fails to point out the clear and obvious error. Just the latest example of Tierney’s blatant bias.
  21. You’ve got to play to the whistle but how can 2 full time professional officials not see Sterling holding Paqueta’s arm and shirt. PL officiating has to be seen to be believed.
  22. Do we have ANY games where those two cunts have no involvement? Between them they refereed 25% of our games last season, IIRC, which is totally disproportionate to the number of refs on the PGMOL roster.
