That team may be good enough to finish third (edit to remove 'second' typed in error!) but there's no way on earth it would finish second with just crouch up front and garcia behind him. But, the main point to all those issuing mouthwatering teams or teams to compete for the title out of virtually our current squad is what happens when the ijuries start? What happens when the loss of form kicks in? What happens when suspensions take effect? Its not just our 'first' eleven but who we've got to come in and replace thos players out of form, injured or suspended. I do agree we must play our strongest wekek in, week out from the off. Even if we fail due to fatigue, I'd prefer that to falling out of contention by November because the sides been pissed about and constantly rotated. For god's sake Rafa, decide on your best eleven and use them!

We didnt get £40m for winning it in 2005! Where do you get that figure from? We got roughly £20m from the CL in 2005. I reckon we got roughly the same this year allowing for inflation and considering we didnt win. The money goes on running the club together with all the other income we get ie PL match fees, corporate income, souveniers (sp?). The wage bill for LFC comes to about 58% of all income. Then you all the other running expenses, academy, stadium maintenance etc, etc.

Sorry but Benitez needs to get a fcuking grip if this is the level of player we are going to be signing. I've had enough of buying 5 or 6 players in the hope that 2 or 3 will turn out to be good buys. Save the money Benitez and put it towards signing one or two class players to take us forward.
