  1. I remember earlier this season gettin ready to go and see us at eastlands. Radio told me Mascharano was on strike. Couldnt fucking belive me ears. Heres a player we rescued out of west hame reserves and transformed into a worldwide name fitting of the argie captaincy. what a torture it mustve been for the boy to turn out one last time in the red shirt to "earn" his 80k a week running around playing the sport we love. Turned my stomach. I went and watched yaya tour and the other athletes outrun, fight and battle us in a 3 nil trouncing infront of the sheikh billionaire. It was then I realised footy was dead and the liverpool way went with it.
  2. This is a common one, often levied against us reds by mancs and others. Truth is it fucking pisses me off. I'm sick and tired of being told I live in the past and Liverpool 'have won nothin for years'. I got my season ticket in the Kop in 96' just as it went all seater. Since then I've seen us win a treble of cups, been to 2 european cup finals, been to cardiff 7 times to see showpiece finals, and travelled arouund europe seeing us win in the nou camp, san siro and bernabue. For most clubs that would be considered a golden era. I have spent literally grands watching LFC do me proud and indeed I have had some of the best days of my life seeing us win major trophies and games in the last 2 decades. I remember coming out of anfield twice in 2005 and being told by my arl fella and then grandad "that's your st.etienne lad" against olympiakos and then chelsea. I travelled to dortmund on a 32 hour round coach trip to see us win a european trophy in germany on a golden own goal in a 9 goal thriller of a game, first and last time it was done, 2 days after seein us win the fa cup in the last minute. All of this is recent history. Fuck those who say we aint done nothing for years. Torres and Mascherano would do well to take heed and realise who and what we are. Even in what seems the darkest days is success and joy most others envy. YNWA.
  3. Totally agree with that. He's reliable and loves the club, gutted he was sold and he's coming back a better player. Solid in the tackle and a major improvement on Johnson and Konchesky.
  4. Steven Warnock re-signing on loan for rest of the season tomorrow, excellent move for him and the club.
  5. Has anybody ever found any rumour started by a blue to be true? Dunno why we take them on and spin them ourselves, just gives their utter bullshit more credibility. When will we ever learn as a city to say "Dave, your just a bluenose taxi driver now stop talking shit" and not "[insert far fetched story of choice involving LFC player/supporter] is true and I know so because Dave the bluenose taxi driver said it was".
  6. Police have confirmed no stabbings today at the match. Vicious rumours like this just cause shit. Atmosphere in town tonight will be horrible with this being spun around. That's when you do actually end up with someone being seriously hurt, when others seek out retribution for something that hasnt even happened.
  7. I think all fan groups and the club need to get the message out about this being a flag day. Kop should be a sea of red and white, loud and proud for the full 90 Supporting the players.
  8. Sounds like a believable story and is typical of that wimbledon side. Remember Mcmahon regarded as our toughest player uncharacteristically ducking a few challenges in the match itself.
  9. Could be Alan Shearer, the only person I know to talk in the 3rd person (other than Thatcher), both of whom are massive cocks
  10. The flat 3 midfielders mirrors the great Milan side of the early 90's with Donadoni, Ancelotti and Gullit. You just couldn't get the ball off them with the 3 working in a triangle, sounds simple but was just so effective all around the pitch. Mancini is trying to use the same system at city now by overloading with centre mids.
  11. Completely agree Johnny. From a tactical point of view he is the best in Europe. He learnt from playing in the invincible Milan side with the likes of Baresi, Maldini, Van Basten and Rijkaard so knows how the game should be played. His ideology has formed the basis for modern european football forcing many to clone his tactics and systems. Ideal candidate but i'm just not sure he'd want the challenge of taking us back up. We are a massive project for somebody out there, but it won't be Ancelotti.
  12. Can't see Ancelotti lasting given Ambramovich's lack of patience. Rafa to Chelsea anyone?
  13. That goes without saying but I don't think we can rule it out, especially if the performance isn't good. Calls for Kenny at Stoke and Blackpool at home, I wouldnt be surprised to hear Benitez' name.
  14. What are the chances of a few Benitez chants at this match? In the words of Rafa himself and on the basis of the polls around, its a possibility, no?
  15. I think the game has changed so much even since GH left in 04. His methods will not have gone down well at all in a new era of player power and i'm not surprised to hear about the training ground bust ups. We live in a world where if a wiley old manager comes in and tells an overpaid primadonna to do 10 laps of the pitch after training to walm down and improve stamina he gets laughed at and told where to go.
  16. Hodgson is rumoured to be overjoyed after today's postponement meant that the Wolves game gives the club an opportunity to go 3 games unbeaten, in what would be "a historical seqence of results".
  17. He's so misguided it's almost as if he judges his success by the number of followers he has instead of how he actually performs as a player.
  18. Just seen that, he has an unhealthy obsession with twitter. Cunt.
  19. Its false economy though surely. The money they would otherwise have saved in getting the game on first time round and have now lost due to moving the fixture would nearly have paid for it alone. How many spurs, mancs and liverpool fans will have to cancel now the game is midweek? Thing is this isnt the last of it for Blackpool, i'd be surprised if they see a home game before March. Penny pinching which has come back to bite them.
  20. Any truth that Deschamps was interviewed for the job end of last season? If so, I wonder if he'll bother to come back having been turned down once already.
  21. Just heard on radio merseyside that the reason the shite have called it off is...........wait for it Problems with the bogs!! hahaha
  22. Why keep someone in the job when the seasons already fucked? Surely it would make sense to bring someone in to let them have the rest of the season to sort out the mess instead of doing it next season, fucking another one up in the process.
  23. The club shouldnt be allowed in the league. 3 games now they havnt been able to get on which is nothing short of amateurish this day in age.
  24. Hows he endeared himself to so many? For 5 times he won on a penny, So rafa got sacked, Coz league success he lacked, Yet some see him as better than Kenny!?
