  1. Reading that just makes me realise one of the reasons why I left the UK several years back. A similar thing happened to my younger Bro years back in a club. On this occassion it was a bouncer who cracked him in the head with a baseball bat as he was getting his coat. He was extremely fortunate the blow from this utter coward never killed him. The other bouncers at the club all kept quiet so the police could do nothing. Hope this fella pulls through......
  2. Tom Hanks Adam Sandler Absolutely no redeeming features, the acting equivalent of Oasis.
  3. That's Moyes' team talk done and dusted then...
  4. Road manager / personal assistant and friend to The Beatles. Some rfefer to him as the fifth Beatle. Just watching Anthology recently and he comes across as a really sweet fella - RIP
  5. What example? The example of rabbit with the lights in eyes? when has he bossed the game at OT ever? he is terrified of them - sadly....
  6. Gerrard was caught like a rabbit with the lights shining in his eyes the whole match - as he always is against the big 3
  7. This 'Journalist' has selective amnesia, but clearly they have had a better of run of things since Rafa's arrival.
  8. I was assuming he was a Manc apologist given the way he failed to mention the Houllier period. Thanks for clarifying that. Living in Asia I don't really keep up with individual biases of tabloid writers (although in most cases they usually shine through).
  9. Let's hope that is the case. I hate these games I honestly do. I have now reached a point where I am mature enough to beable to say 'fair play' on the odd occassion they have actually deserved a victory. All too often it has been gifted to them by defensive errors, referee erm 'blunders', goalkeeping mishaps and the like... I know one thing, they get a free kick around the panalty area in the 91st with the game tied I won't be-able to watch. Hope Rafa has got that sorted out after conceding how many goals in such a fashion in this fixture?

  11. Manchester United are Liverpool's bogey team - Football News - Telegraph Although sadly so much of this is the facts. This White fella does conveniently miss out the run Houllier had against this Scum of a team but overall it doesn't make great reading. Way back it didn't seem to matter to us if they won their cup final, how times have changed....
  12. In Thailand you need to be-able to distinguish for sure  but for certian there are some genuine vertical-smiled Thai honies I actually work regional so travel a lot in SE ASIA particularly in China and Vietnam at the moment.
  13. What score tonight would make you confident of going through? Crucial we don't concede and if we can get 2 goal cushion then we should be OK (dodgy Ref's excepted!)
  14. I lived in Bilbao for 18 months and used to visit the San Mames on a regular basis. Fantastic atmosphere back then and I have always had a soft spot for the team, especially upon learning of one of colleagues making Kendall go to the back of the queue at airport check in. "I don't know who you are or care, you can wait like the rest of us." Stealing Cod? Don't be daft, they invented Cod!
  15. Please delete / block this thread - I have just seen it has already been posted - Momo is boss' thread. Cheers
  16. Letter from Momo to reds fans. Class stuff from the fella - hope things go well for him at Juve and he finds the form he demonstrated for us early on. Dear Liverpool fans, As soon as I arrived in Liverpool I realised how much this team meant. Now, after two and a half years I have to say goodbye and I can't hide the great sorrow I feel in leaving one of the best clubs in Europe. Liverpool FC as a club, its fans, its coaches and my team-mates have together helped me to become a better player and, above all, a better person. Liverpool FC is one of the greatest. The Liverpool fans never desert their team. Even in the worst moments you have a strong sense that the fans are with you, supporting you as much as they can, never giving up, those fans make Liverpool even stronger. I really want to thank them for helping me to feel and to understand what football means in its purest form. I also think Liverpool FC functions this way because of its leaders; Rafael Benitez works from dawn to dusk, and the players know they must fight for the red shirt in every second of every match. Now I am beginning a new adventure in another big European Club in Juventus. They have also now put their faith in me. I shall play to my best in every single match, I shall fight hard for my new shirt to the end, but when every match is finished, I know what I'll do first - I shall ask about the results of Liverpool FC. Everybody knows the legend "You'll Never Walk Alone" and I shall never ever forget the experience and the team. I want to thank everyone for the opportunity and wish everyone all the best for the future. With my best regards, Mohammed Sissoko
  17. Jamaican Blue Beat? what is that? I love Jamaican music from Mento to Dancehall but I have not heard of that. Any recommendations would be appreciated....
  18. It may be better than doing nothing but it means nothing unless it is acted upon, and they know games like Inter will always sell out. The article here suggests the deal to refinance could be done next but also that relations between Gillett and Hicks are not all that rosey. It raises some questions at the end which do not make easy reading...(for those who can't be arsed to open the link). Owners' dispute eclipses Liverpool's new deal - Football News - Telegraph
  19. I am in Vientiane right now, and tomorrow head back to the work site between Bolikhamxay and Khammoune (near Lak Sao). I have pretty much worked all over with the exception of the far Northern provinces.
