We created a load of sitters and did'nt score, again! In the SIX games that we have lost this season in only 1 have we been outplayed (manure)! But if you dont score goals, you dont win games (I know its a pathetic cliche, but its true!) The problem for me is that Rafa is signing players with all round good ability but average/poor scoring records, i.e. Bellamy, Pennant, Crouch! We need to get people in the team who are proven goal scorers at the highest level. You cant miss chances like Crouch did today and expect to win the league, you just cant.

Great News that, people need to stop all the shite about wanting Chelsea to keep winning in order to keep the title away from manure. We need BOTH the top teams to keep slipping up if we are to have a remote chance ourselves! Reel them in boys!

I think its a shame that Rodney Marsh got sacked. Although he could be a twat at times, he was'nt afraid to say what he thought. He also did'nt have an underlying deep hatred for us that pundits such as Charlie Dickless have!

I remember just after we beat Reading (I think) Carlton Palmer was asked by the presenter If Reading could get back on track after losing their last 4 games. The clown replyed with "well, out of those 4 games, they have played the three best teams in the country in Arsenal, Man u, and Chelsea, you cant expect them to get results at those grounds." I just sat and thought "what a tit" so Reading can be expected to come to Anfield and get a result can they! I'm probably going OTT about it, but it seemed really 'meant' at the time.

The thing is though, when we do finally win number 19, it will have to be done in spectacular style, to sit alongside our other "against the odds" victories. Plus, we managed to pull the league title back many times when all seemed lost. Just watch the optimism sweep this forum when we beat Spurs and Blackburn away! Fuck common sense, long live blinded optimism :thumbsup:

His body shoudn't be telling him he needs a rest, it should be telling him to shut his moaning clueless mouth, and get into the real world.

Why are so many foreign teams so cocky, I mean, it's not like saying these sort of things is going to help your team is it! English teams, bar Chelsea, always show a lot of respect for the opposition as they know that any negative comments against your rival will only act to motivate them. I've never been more confident that we will do them than I am now!

Well, not so long ago we were 100-1 to win the prem outright, thats been cut to 66-1 now with Coral. It's not gonna happen, but ever since Istanbul, I never rule out anything. Lets just try to get closer than last year, and with the coming investment, we can take it from there.

I'll second that about Kuyt. I think people are being way too harsh on him as his link up play with Bellamy was very good. People might be moaning now about his goal ratio but he looks like a player who given time will be scoring for fun as he is always in the correct positions.

I can imagine after being humiliated by Spurs last week they will feel they owe their fans a performance. They wont get one though, 0-3 to us!

I cant believe a thread entitled 'Piss poor pundits' has failed to bring up the name 'Ian Wright' yet! But saying that, I dont think the BBC hired him to be the 'thinking mans' pundit, he's more 'the dickheads choice' kind of pundit!

I think that at the moment the reds are really starting to build a head of steam, defensive solidity has returned and our attack is looking on par with any top team in Europe (once we have scored first that is!) Come this tie in the new year I truly believe we will be seeing the very best football the reds have produced this season.

This is Matt Le Tissier's prediction for the Charlton game; AWAY WIN - They don't have a chance of catching the top two, but if they can get it right on their travels, Liverpool are more than capable of a top-four finish. I was surprised to see them go with two up front, never mind three at the back, but it worked at Wigan and it should work here. Charlton need to get a good start, but I can see Liverpool keeping them and Darren Bent quiet - 0-2. Why would you be surprised when Rafa has done it in almost every game this season. Its just another example of journo's who hardly ever watch the team their talking about. I'd be sacked if I spouted bullshit every week at work, yet they get away with it week in week out!

Its a great thought that we could actually out-bid the mancs for a player, they have done it to us so many times in the past. But you dont count your chickens before they hatch, lets hope the takeover happens first as its not set in stone just yet!

I really would'nt be surprised if that was the real reason behind the Kirkby announcement, 'Lets tell our fans we have no choice but to move out of the city, get them all pissed off and angry, and hope that Liverpools new owners will offer the groundshare we want. If the announcement was just a piece of p r in light of our recent takeover dealings, it backfired majorly, I think I believe the 'groundshare' theory as it seems more like something they would do.

I was reading the bitters letters in the Echo today and was unsurprised to see that they think the council could'nt wait to give us a plot of land to build the stadium on but they got ignored. You can already see the bitterness and jealousy is reaching dangerous levels when their using US as the excuse to why they could'nt build in the city 'the Peoples city'. But then I forgot, we are to blame for EVERTHING bad that has ever happened to their shitty club!
