    Went to tesco last night to finish my Christmas shop (I had no choice as I was waiting for pay day before I could get it done) and you would think from what was left on the shelves that world war 3 was about to start. For fucks sake people they are closed for ONE fucking day!!! No spuds left except them massive bags of value ones, no parsnips (unforgivable as I love me parsnips) no turnips, no beef joints. Went to Lidl and got everything I needed no problem, an it was a lot more relaxed to walk around. So to sum up Lidl is boss, Tesco is not.

    What's most disappointing about that Brian Reade article is that he is the one journalist that you would have expected to come out fighting for the club and its fans as god knows at this moment in time we need some support.

    I think the most pleasing thing about us this season has been how consistent we've been, even when then final result has gone against us. We play good attacking football in every game, create shed loads of chances and concede very few. This is the base of an exceptional team and I believe with a few tweaks here and there we will be very close to some major honours next season. I think a cup and 4th place would be perfect this season though and its a very realistic target. Good times!

    Will this finally be the game were every shot that hits the post in previous games goes in, were every poor decision from a ref turns into a right one, were the keeper doesn't have the game of his life and luis puts all his chances away. It will happen. Liverpool to win 5-0.

    "Teams don't always gel right away" The problem with a lot of the 'new generation' of fans is they seem to be completely oblivious to this fact. We don't have endless supplies of cash like Man City so it's bound to take us a little longer to develop as a team. I think we'll see the best of this side towards the end of the season, but I just hope we haven't lost touch with the top four by then.

    We'll beat City, but unfortunately we'll draw against Swansea. Thats how its seems to be going for us this season.

    Spot on. What makes me laugh is remember when Carra launched the coin back at the twatty Arsenal fans who were pelting him with coins a few seasons back. He got hammered by the press for that but nothing was said of the dickheads who started it. Hope we press for charges being brought against them.

    Just got a feeling that tomorrow will be the day Carroll will start and have an absolute stormer of a game. The lads got bags of talent and he will prove a lot people wrong. You don't spend 35 mil unless you think your getting something special, which he will indeed prove to be.

    How we start this game will be extremely important if we want all the points. They will come flying out the traps, snapping at our heels, playing for fouls and playing those 'long passes' a fair bit making it very hard for us to get our passing game going. People seem to think that just being Liverpool is enough to win these games (fans & players!) and its this attitude which has seen us fail in these kind of games time and time again in recent years. This will be one of our hardest away fixtures this season, and a good test to see how far we've come.

    They are nothing but a fucking freak show and I will never acknowledge anything they win as meaning anything. Chelsea made me shake my head, City make me want to jack in football completely.

    They are always dangerous because whatever team they field tries to play in the same way, regardless of missing any players.

    What is it with Lawro thinking all LFC supporters believe were going to win the league. We really don't, and I wish he wouldn't say it because it just makes us look like dickheads.

    Lots of sensible level headed predictions on here. Kenny probably thinks we have a chance of winning it, although he would never say it.

    I personally think we'll have to wait until around Christmas to see the best of us this season though. When you introduce so many new players to the first team your going to have to wait for a bit of understanding to form. Its all looking very balanced though, no round pegs in square holes for once.

    We could do with a couple of decent performances before the season starts though. Reserves or not, losing heavily doesn't exactly help with confidence in the squad and we do need to find a bit of rhythm before we play Sunderland.

    Did anyone expect that team in the first half to do any better than they did? I'm also not too worried about the defence, the second half of last season the team defended very well. Every team has a shit game or 2 pre-season. We'll be fine, chill.

    One things for sure. Kenny is building a team, not a circus of overpaid superstars like Man City. All the players we have either signed or are going to sign are an improvement on what we have, which is all you can ask for at this stage.

    We signed Carroll in the space of a day. No journalist knew it was going to happen, but it did! On that basis alone I think you need to calm down a little and wait and see what happens. You may get a nice surprise.

    Well if thats the case I really hope we tell them to stick it! A player doesn't become more valuable just because the Chairman wants a bigger cut of the money, he's worth what he's worth and thats that. Why should we compensate them for their own failings with a contract they made with Rangers!!! It has nothing to do with us.

    I dont get this Charlie Adam saga. We offer 8m for a player in the final year of his contract, a player Blackpool only payed 500 grand for 2 seasons back, a player who has told them he doesn't want to play for them anymore and Liverpool is his first choice and yet Blackpool are demanding an extra million quid for his services??? So raking in SIXTEEN times the original price you bought him for is not good enough! Who the fuck are they trying to kid. A big part of me wants this to go right to the last day of the season and for us to then lower our offer to 4m! Its a very risky game Blackpool are playing as they may end up with fuck all after they originally could of got 14m for him. Joke of a Chairman who seems to have a personal issue with us if you ask me!

    Exactly. But I think Blackpool will be lucky if they get 8mil for Adam.

    The fact we can finish 5th after we had very real fears of relegation at Christmas just goes to show what a massive impact Kenny has had on the team. Unbelievable after the start we had! We will win the title next season, it doesn't always have to be 5 years of progression before you win it, sometimes its just meant to be! It really is. How galling it must be for Ferguson to see Kenny on the rise again with the club he so envied. He will have to watch Kenny lifting that trophy next season, and he will retire knowing we are well and truly back on our fucking perch!! I really cant wait....
