Fell asleep watching this, missed the last half hour; the performance, Bt commentary and Mcmanaman’s nonsense made sleep a welcome release from reality -

How you could get a decent report out of that game Dave, I’ll never know…..well done. When did we last win a 12:30 kick off on BT? Shit channel, shit commentators and pundits I prefer Tyler and I detest him. -

It will go to court and be dragged out for years by abu dhabi’s lawyers and cash. Final result I’m not optimistic it will change anything. Only grounds for positive outcome is looking at what happened in Italy to juve et al.

Likewise, at the end there was a guy standing on a barrier trying to get a lift to Rotterdam. We went to a lot of away games on spec in those days. -

Massive bellend Shearer thought there was nothing wrong with the Fernandes goal. He tweeted that it was clever - he always was acheating twat. He was co-commentator on our game at Wolves and confirmed he has no clue about modern football. -

Exceiient report Dave, not going overboard. Young Bajcetic has impressed me every time I’ve seen him play. Could be out number 6 for the next 15 years. I’d love him to play against Chelsea but don’t think the medics will let him. -

Great report Dave, said everything that needed saying. The situation we are in now reminds me of Shankley’s great side being beaten by Watford in the cup. Too many of that side were past their sell by date and the rebuilding started with the Saint, Sir Roger, Big Ron and Geoff Strong moving on and the beginning Shanks’ second great side with Keegan, Toshack, Hughes et al. From then on sentiment disappeared: established players were moved on if there was a better option available - in the reserves or at another club. Sir Bob was ruthless. That underpinned our two decades at the top and when it stopped, under the King, the decline began. I hope and pray the Brighton game has the same effect as Watford . -
I’ve seen a fair number of the greats in the flesh: I’ll never forget seeing Pele getting kicked and fouled in everyway possible at Goodison in 1966, the main culprit was a centre back called Torres an absolute animal, how he stayed on the pitch I’ll never know. Pele was injured for the Brazil - Hungary game, the best game of football I have ever seen.

England cursed….no chance, too many bottlers who don‘t know how to win. How many of the present team had won a major competition, Hendo. the city crew don’t count as they have had the need to think on their feet coached out of them; you could see that yesterday in the city players in the Portugal game. Almost All the French team were major winners Jonathan Liew had a great take on it in yesrerday‘s paper. He was spot on. -

If players had balls… captain gets book for a rainbow armband puts it back on and gets another yellow and red. Passes the armband to the next player who does the same when they are down to 8 players match is abandoned. Two or three big teams do this and the world cup is over, -
1950, mum and Dad both reds used to stand in the paddock. My first game was pre season 1957 first team v reserves in the old Kemlyn rd stand . Fully paid up koppite from 1964-5 season till 1977. Left of the goal half way up was my speck. I missed the beginning of the 75 season as I was in New Zealand getting married. Arrived back in September to heavy questioning from the group I stood with Where the fuck have you been we nearly gave your speck away etc.. Didn’t know any of them outside the Kop There was was 2 brothers from Kirkby, a posh guy with his two daughters (both lookers)who was in business with Frank McClintock, a guy who worked on the railways at Edge Hill who always arrived at the last minute as he worked shifts. All were sound as pounds, with me and my two mates, in a closed bubble in the middle of 30,000 others. Wonderful times.

After we scored Taylor gave city free kicks galore, he gave us none that I can remember. After Diego’s injury Taylor should have blown for time as the 6 minutes were upand no game time had been lost; instead he gave his team an extra 4 minutes to try and equalise. He is a 100% manccunt. As for The abu dhabi national side and its supporters; they make Chelsea look like reasonable human beings. Top, top simean facial analysis Dave and a great report -

Excellent report Dave, I hope we don‘t have to play them in a cup semi final. Bajcetic looks a real prospect. -

Yet another shit refereeing display from Tierney. Anderson was niggling and fouling Nunez for the whole game. Nothing given. The team with the best disciplinary record in the league has had two players sent off by the same ref in successive games he’s reffed. Coincidence? -
The best bit was Carney echoing most of what Souey said about the tactics etc and him glaring at her while Carra was trying hard not to laugh. The similarities between mens and womens football begin and end with the word football. It’s like saying driving to work is like F1 racing.
