One of last season's highlights was the whole ground rocking with the ' 10 More Years ' and ' 10 years & you've won f*** all ' chants at the Anfield derby, while Moyes stood bewildered in the technical area. Decent manager but that's all. Had to laugh at a bluenose in work today saying that Moyes is the best buying manager in the world & citing Baines. Had to ask him who it was that avoided playing Baines for the best part of a year after he'd bought him, until other players injuries & the player threatening to spew it forced his hand.

It still blows my mind that we offered Henderson & cash for Dempsey.

Thought we were looking down the barrel of a terrible results day today, but a few of the clubs around us dropped points. A win against Sunderland puts us in 8th. knew we had been shite in the league in 2012 but hadn't realised how bad.BBC Sport saying we picked up 46 points in 39 games, with the Mancs picking up 93 and even Sunderland on 49.

Surely it's simple enough. If the last touch by an attacking player was going into the net ( ignore the goalkeeper or the pace of the ball or whatever ) then it is their goal. If not, then whoever diverted it into the net, its theirs. If the camera angle is inconclusive then the attacker gets it.

The Mirror were talking about us giving him £3.5m as a severance, which would mean he could take less off potential suitors. Seems awful for us, but the worrying alternative is keeping him at £100k per week for another 18 months ( @ £7.5m )

LFC apart, I think Andy Murray's Wimbledon / US Open wins were my highlight.

I am imagining Sturridge instead of Shelvey ( struggling ) / Henderson ( played well enough but not a massive goal threat ) in the support striker role over the recent games and am warming to his arrival. Love the Phoenix Nights nod.

Putting all the various issues to one side, we are not going to catch Chelsea but we might catch Everton, so surely this is a good result for us.

Don't get many comfortable games with the Reds, so enjoyed that. Was a little bit surprised that we never gave Luis or Stevie a rest after an hour or so.

I don't know about Draxler, but I'm obviously getting him mixed up with somebody else, as I thought Holtby was about 6ft 4ins.

I take your point Champ, but if you put a time limit on how long the child can be away before they say it is cruel to repatriate, you are giving the abductors a time frame to work to.

I suppose this is why we have keeping coaches & surely they can sort out a young lad's distribution. Are you sure the dad is not just biased, as some decent judges must feel he isn't 'overrated' if he is in the full England set-up at his age. I'm blaming Dave for Shelvey not getting the hook, as Brendan was quite obviously still rattled by Dave's inquisition & kept one of the few guys who gets into the box on the pitch. If Shelvey had put his boots on the right feet it might have worked. Joking apart, if one word summed us up at present it is 'flimsy'.

Assaidi was reported as unavailable for the Fulham game with a knee injury so I assume it has been why we haven't seen too much of him lately.

I have taped the whole series but not got around to watching any of them. What I want to know is did it finally end after ths week's episode, or are we looking at a 3rd series, as if so I am deleting them. .

Fair enough in general about X-Factor, but would have to exempt James Arthur from the comments as he has been exemplary in his behaviour, to the extent of telling people to stop buying his song if it looked like keeping the JC from number 1.

Don't like the look of that. My cojones will have to stay flippant for now.
