Over £12 million for Barry is ludricous. Nevermind over £15m, wish we would just stay away from him altogether. We should just focus on keeping Alonso. I thought Gary Neville was having one of his best seasons 06/07. Don't really think age is a matter just yet. Nigling injuries may have affected him this year aswell . Lets not forget he was probably one of our top 3 players during the 06/07 season. He will be back! :whistle:

I was watching a match of ours against the Arse a couple of days ago on LFCtv from the 05/06 season and remembered how big an attacking threat Finnan was for us over the past couple of years. His first touch and passing, nevermind his crossing were brilliant. I will be the first to admit I thought he was pretty woeful this season, looked slow and had a lack of confidence. Was just curious as to whether people on here, think he really is 'done' and doesn't have much to offer next season? I really hope not, when he is in good form, there is no comparison with him and Arbeloa. Bob is a good player but I am still not convinced by him. There no doubt he has had the better campaign compared to Finnan. He was one of our most consistent performers at the start of the season, but that consistency kind of fizzled out to an extent (bit like most players, bar Torres). Anyway lets hope we see the 'real' Steve Finnan next year.

He only really got his act together the past three months. Some may argue alot of that is due to the new formation. But he has had alot of poor performances this year and will really need to step his game up (or not) to get in the side.

Sorry just don't think he is worth as much as Torres.
