Fakes are generaly poorly made unlees u pay relatively big money for which you would get a genuinely good watch like the tissot earlier in this thread. People buy them to pretend they own something they cant afford the real thing. Something desparate in that. I have two fakes a rolex and an ap. One my wife bought me on honeymoon and one I bought earlier this year. Rolex is an auto and still works 10 years later. But its a fake, I feel a fraud wearing it. Same with ap. I have a 245 euro auto from an german manufacturer called archimede (no relation!) Which is a more satisfying watch to own. Its a hommage... same style as iwc (rolex level brand) mark 16. It costs a tenth of the iwc but is 50% of watch. Buy an hommage not a fake

Swiss quartz, Japanese quartz, Chinese quartz.... it does not matter. In fact japense quartz are probably the best... seiko kinetic etc. However re automatic arguement particularly watches from older swiss brands... its like football. You can be a plastic flag waving new to success chelsea fan (quartz) or an appreciator of heritage, of mans achievement against the odds and of quality ..liverpool(automatic) They are both top football clubs, at the moment I would have more instant gratification as a chelsea fan, but my life experience is richer as a kopite. Get an automatic. Get a cheap automatic diver seiko. Its all the watch you want. I have cheap autos, I have expensive quartz, even more expensive autos. I get pleasure from owning them. Buy your first auto, do some research. Be warned watches can be addictive. But automatics are not necessarily better, but they are cooler. And fuck it thats what matters

I like an automatic watch. But then I am a WIS... a watch idiot savant. For 99.99% of people quartz is all they need. They are more accurate, reliable, and cheaper to maintain. However an automatic watch whilst not as accurate brings its own joy. You can get a tissot (good brand) with an eta 2824 auto movement for reasonable money and it will be all the watch you want.

It's a good album, but gaslight are to me about frenetic punk guitars. I got Brian fallons autograph at a revival tour gig last year. I'm a big fan. I really enjoyed his horrible crowes side project also. American Slang is just a bit too polished for me and could be a horrible crowes album I .

Yes I got it. It has got some terrible reviews on gaslight fan forums but I really like it. It's a far better album than American Slang and not far behind The 59 Sound. No Gaslight will equal 59 for me as it was the album that introduced the band to me. It along with sink and swim are two great new jersey punk albums. Handwritten is less punk due commercial trains but has some great songs. Howl us a throwback gaslight song and favourite. Bonus track blue dahlia should have been an album track. 8.5 out of 10 for me

Its true that filming is very much UK based. Large swathes of the story are set in UK with mi6 under threat due to something from M's past. London and Scotland feature heavily. A lot of bond fans have wanted a UK storyline and for non Brits like myself... London is as great a city as Paris, shanghai, Moscow if not better. Was in London on business last year near tower London and the city and felt was on movie set. Skyfall is filming sequences not far from there as it happens... Rumor had it on bond forums that this is a movie with a tight script, great actors, talented director who understands bind movies. It's all very promising. Expect exotic locations in bond 24!

Lguleton is great... I assume you are with your mrs. Dundrum on the Luas is a great shopping centre but she has seen it all before. A drink in the Shelbourne hotel is nice... You can take a sea safari around Dublin bay. Might be chilly though. If you do want to spend a bit more on a meal... Pichet is good. Get the dart train out to Howth.. Nice seaside village with good pubs and restaurants. Only 30 mins away.

The Volvo is based on ford focus so I'd considerably smaller Passats build quality not what it used to be. Passage with blue motion run on air I have owned 14 VW group caters. My lady two cars have been volvos.
