  1. Agreed. I bet he wears jackboots along with his S*n hat.
  2. I don't pretend to know too much about this Dunc character or his website. Suffice to say I visited the site a few times but was completely put off by its OTT 'insider info' and lack of intelligence of some of the posters. But for a supposed Liverpool supporter to advocate anything remotely associated with the S*n it is beyond belief. Took a bit of shit off people at uni (in Nottingham) for slagging them off for reading it, including a few Reds from down south who only associated themselves with the club and not the supporters from the city that bares its name. Put them in their place, but sadly there were a few pricks who said what they wrote was more or less true. Never gave them the time of day after that.
  3. I saw that Ribery play a few times last season, albeit in the Uefa Cup against the likes of Bolton and on the TV. Based purely on this I think he is a very good player. Looks to have plenty of skills and a Zidane-esque poise on the ball.
  4. Not quite 100% accurate but more importantly Josemi nowhere to be seen! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTsRCnqOmbk&search=pro%20evo%20remake
  5. I don't like the twat but admire his world class talent and you're right he does deserve to perform on the biggest stage. England should still have enough about them to not have to rely on a 20 year old lad though.
  6. Fowler's is a good read. Bought it at the airport to read by the pool but had finished it by the time we landed. For non sporting autobiography can recommend Steve McQueen.
  7. Danny Dyer in 'Human Traffic' is hilarious. His rant to the cab driver about modern pop music and Peter fackin Andre is quality. He seems like a bit of a tit on that Football Factories programme though there are far more dislikeable nobjockeys on TV at the moment. BB for starters................
  8. Only if sausages form a protective barrier keeping bean juice from egg. IMHO.
  9. Seconded. Good in Italy in patches, barely seen enough of him in Spain to pass judgement but I will anyway. Not good enough.
  10. Genius! Super Nintendo Chalmers!
  11. Bloody 'ell, times must be tough up at Lapland, Santa's had to take part time work in a petrol station.
  12. Love that goal. Never quite gets the same amount of plaudits as Giggs 'greatest ever goal in the history of the FA Cup' in the semi final. OK, maybe not as skilful as Giggs', but the way he glided past players in that lazy style of his is a skill in its own right.
  13. £22 a month on Telewest for the Sports package. Call it just under 3 months, mid May-August.
  14. I think its on Sky Sports 1. Only gone and cancelled me SkySports subscription haven't I, what with the World Cup didn't see any need in paying £60 odd for cricket and golf etc. Stupid, stupid boy. Will have to go to the pub now............ 8) Anyone know anything about the rest of the Chilean side? They were a decent side in the days of Zamorano and Salas.
  15. After GCSEs worked on a farm in Formby, pulling up ragwort so it didn't kill the horses. Also worked at the Chewits factory in Southport packing sweets (not fudge). They are pretty low down on the career path I reckon.
  16. Hate the United Utilities adverts. Twats charge through the nose then spend loads of cash telling us how great they are. Erm, like we've got a choice? Love the bouncing balls one too, simple and effective. Remember when adverts sold the products rather than then lifestyle?
  17. If Carlos is criticised in Spain for being lazy and lacking defensive responsibility then he's hardly likely to excel in this country. I know its a cliche but can't imagine him running his bollocks off on a cold November evening in Wigan. Carlos was a great player in his time..............5 years ago.
  18. Simple really. 4th minute of a game against our most hated rivals and the twat Riley, whose Manc loving has never really been in doubt, has no heistation in sending him off. Admittedly, through red tinted glasses any decision against us is 'harsh', but the manner he received that red really grated with me.
  19. Aye, Didi Hamann for me too. Master of winning free kicks when the pressure is on. Right dirty bastard at times, but nothing wrong with that.
  20. Agree with that. Only one (unjustified) sending off in his time here, few bookings, never see him in the press spouting bollocks, model pro on the pitch. Some excellent goals too, his diving header in '98-9 against the Mancs, the volley against Juve and a volley on the turn against Spurs last season. Houllier gets a lot of stick from a lot of Reds but he deserves a lot of credit for signing Sami.
  21. Yeah, or 98 blasts at the keeper and 221 different boots.
  22. Damn work got in the way of my internet browsing.
  23. Its about time we started playing hardball in transfer negotiations for players on the way out. OK, some of the players supposedly leaving aren't exactly world beaters but they are still part of a squad that has has a winning mentality for the last 2 seasons and that experience should add a few quid to their values. Traore? I wanted him to develop into a Desailly type player, strong and dominant, but despite showing some promise he is not a reliable enough option for a team with Premiership title winning aspirations.
  24. 'who has scored 98 goals in 221 matches for Liverpool' fuckin ell have I missed something?
