  1. Ah the crushing disappointment of football, regardless of who is playing it.
  2. His planes over Birmingham so time is running out Someone? SOMEONE?
  3. Anyone know what Arthur is up to? Pathetic
  4. Mentality monsters at being fucking incompetent signing players. Yet another embarrassing summer. Got some jarg DoF partying it up in Ibiza on a years bloody contract to boot. Absolute joke.
  5. Just don’t do it to yourselves, we’re not going to sign Caicedo
  6. Our squad is a couple of long term injuries being another shitshow of a season.
  7. Oppenheimer 9/10 Fucking brilliant. Just class. Didn’t feel like 3 hours at all, flew by for me. Some absolutely fantastic acting from a huge cast list. Well put together. Just superb. Bloody love Nolan.
  8. It happens, people at the club talk. I used to be the clubs telecoms manager for one of their partners for a number of years (we worked with both club staff and players) and we used to occasionally hear about signings by name directly from people at the club who trusted us. Plus we’d need to sort the players phones and get them everything they need ready, ahead of the player arriving to have their medical. Sometimes we’d be told of the players name in advance, sometimes we wouldn’t.
  9. I kind of agree with this. Looking forward to the new season but I’m also kind of expecting it to be more of the same as last season. Simply as, to date, we’ve not done enough business with a rebuild. The last couple seasons we have started the season knowing that injuries in certain positions will kill us. Annnnnnd here we are again going into another season with (currently and doesn’t like this will change) an even fucking thinner squad. Also, I’d love to know what the players are making of all this. Don’t forget Konate recently said this a few weeks back. I believe we have four players leaving this season: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, James Milner and Firmino. We have to replace them. If we don't replace them, what do we do? He must not be the only one who feels the same. Surely the players must be feeling nervous and it’s hardly starting the new campaign on a high, with a determination to fuck everyone up and prove everyone wrong. It’s bound to affect them knowing just one injury in central defence (for example) majorly fucks us up. I’d love to know the view and feeling in the dressing room where this season was supposed to be all about making last a distant and one off memory/blip, but here we are again with even less to work with with the season mere days away and all that talk about us doing business early in the window since long gone. Its an absolute pisstake, at this rate we’ll be even further behind with an older squad next summer talking about this rebuild nonsense again, and being thrown peanuts from FSG once again. Starting to hate this game.
  10. I think FSG and the club suddenly changing how they have always operated (in terms of spending small and from sales / sparingly) is never going to happen. Reckon we’ll end up with one more midfielder, at most, and that’ll be it. Then the usual FSG mouthpieces in the media will be giving all the excuses about ‘inflated transfer market’…etc bollocks. Gotta be careful of the cost of electricity bills after all
  11. Remember when we had a defender crisis after winning the fucking league and we signed Ben Davis and Kabak on loan? Joke of a summer ‘rebuild’ so far. This club takes the piss.
  12. Still the greatest musical sequence in Star Wars, for me.
  13. Part 2 is up, more to follow over the coming days apparently https://bylinetimes.com/2023/07/20/dan-wootton-was-a-serial-bully-at-the-sun-but-bosses-promoted-him-as-complaints-were-silenced/
  14. Might be worth a rethink in the morning
  15. I hope threads is the victor so I can finally jib off Twitter. Barely use it these days as it’s an absolute cesspool. Start breaking into hives if I’m browsing for too long. File it alongside LinkedIn as shite.
  16. Indiana Jones 5 - 6.5/10 I enjoyed it but the ending was pretty bad, the beginning to middle was pretty good though. Overall the film was missing something for me. Ended way too suddenly too. Fun at times though and I’m always going to enjoy an Indiana Jones film but it’s still all about the first three in the series. Also, is Indy suffering from dementia and they are all playing along to bring him back to reality? ”Are You Back?…etc I partly joke but…….
  17. The BBC most likely handled the TV/Streaming mix as it’s a different feed to the front of house mix, heard by people in the crowd. Good example, Axl Rose could barely be heard on the BBC at times. Footage taken from the audience shows his vocals coming across fine. The infuriating thing for me was that the vocal levels weren’t turned up at the start of most performances that I watched. You’d think you’d bloody check the levels are set ok before the singer starts singing his first notes. I’d love to find out if some bands used their own sound engineers for the TV/Streams as part of their contracts with Glastonbury but it being the BBC, who knows.
  18. The Flash 4/10 Shite, hated the tone and comedy of the first hour but then it only got slightly better. Awful story, the ending makes no sense, questionable character motivations for certain things, laughable CGI and use of Deep Fake technology, Barry 2 was annoying as fuck, cringey lines. Literally no one does what they set out to do in the film and everyone fails. Barry learns some important lessons and then makes the same mistake. Another shitefest from DC
