  1. This is dross. Reminds me of the tail end of the Hodgson reign.
  2. Well done Juve. Deserved I thought. Art of defending still alive and well in Italy.
  3. I was just about to say how Arsenal have been really putting the pressure on, a bit like United or Chelsea can do when they need to. Then they go and concede against the run of play. Good to see we can match them for some things.
  4. Utopia. Undefeated against the Champions.
  5. Neville's right- why aren't we throwing the kitchen sink at them? Put Skrtel and Lovren up and get the ball in the box, anything might happen. Looks like the team has accepted we can't win and keep the pressure on the mancs.
  6. Take that fucking cheating rentboy wankers! (Sorry if the language offends you Bert).
  7. Chelsea are winning mate. No points for passing the ball aound on the edge of the oppositions penalty area. If we'd beaten West Brom Rodgers could spout whatever he wanted.
  8. Grudgingly, I have to agree he's been our best player tonight. Mainly because he has performed to an average level and the rest have been utter dogshite.
  9. Johnson with the most incisive bit ofplay all night and everybody watches it flash across the goalline. We're being bullied again and the ref's letting them get away with foul after foul. Doesn't excuse the performance, but ffs grow some balls you bunch of pansies.
  10. Agreed- Gerrard all day long. Could do everything, and in a relatively limited team compared to what Souness had around him.
  11. Its OK, we're doing as well as can be expected, we're par for a club of our size, we have the best man for the job in charge, he said so. Settle for mediocrity and thats what you get.
  12. Shame. Would love to have even one of the Atletico dirty bastards in our team. They've got about 10, we have none. And they have a couple of class beards.
  13. 1. Saw a clip where Klopp was talking about coming to manage in England because he speaks reasonable English and communication is a big part of the way he works. He also said he wanted a club where there would be an emotional attachment with the fans. 2. Chelsea, ManU, Arse aren't going to change managers. City might, but they will want someone to come in for a year until they can Guardiola next year. 3. Klopp might be able to suggest names to the transfer committee other than Swansea and Soton surplus to requirements players. 4. Some of the names he suggests might actually want to come and play for him as they have heard of him. 5. Then I woke up from my daydream.
  14. Yep. Hammers home that we're so far on the outside looking in. Once upon a time.... The weight of the passes by Barcelona is superb- it really is a thing of beauty watching them slice open PSG.
  15. Don't they say the first few games back after injury you get by on a rush of adrenaline, then often fall off again until the sharpness properly returns? Trouble is if he's going to be injured every season he's not going to be back to full fitness for 6 to 8 games after each injury, and you can't build a team around that.
  16. Not sure if he is building something. The half season before Christmas was abysmal. The performances in Europe were dreadful. The run after was fantastic, but even though we looked tighter at the back we never looked like we were winning games by controlling them, we had to press and huff and puff and rely on some exceptional strikes from Coutinho and Henderson- and you can't keep winning like that all season. Sturridge is always going to be broken, Sterling is lilkely to be off sooner rather than later, and then the system will completely fall apart. I also don't trust his ability to sign players. We don't know exactly how much input he has, but by all accounts he was extremely keen on Allen, Ashley Williams, Lallana, Lovren, and none of those is really top class. HAving said all that, I think he should and will get next season to see if can develop a system that works over an entire season. If we finish out of the top 4 next season, that will be the time to say goodbye.
  17. Shocking performance. Sloppy, lethargic, lazy, laboured. Lucky to get the nil.
  18. Shocking performance. Sloppy, lethargic, slow, laboured. How we're not losing I don't know.
  19. Great performance. Coutinho- man's a genius. Skrtel superb again. Henderson v. Toure- no contest!
  20. Unbelievable that we're still 1 up. And Lovren is still on the pitch. If we don't get our shit together very quickly this is not going to end well.
  21. Great save from Ming. They could have had 2 pens already.
