  1. Broadband speed is no good at the best of times....
  2. This is very true. Though the routers will have difficulty viewing encrypted packets, I'm not aware of any routers with packet decryption capabilities, that's not to say there are none out there of course.
  3. Woo, you do know that there are plenty of security enabled USB flash drives out there? Though I assume that as you already have a flash drive, you don't want to be buying another? I have a 4 Gig Sandisk myself for personal info and the sort. What type of files are you putting on the flash drive itself? As you may be just as well off password protecting the individual files, as well as, or instead of, the drive itself.
  4. Couldn't agree more. One of the most underrated players in European/World football. Comfortable in a variety of positions, leads by example every game he plays, and in my view would still be an asset to many clubs despite his age. His level of play never seems to have declined in the latter stages of his career either. Top, top player in my eyes.
  5. Holy shit sequel Batman!! Looks like Robin is not the only prancer to me if this pic is anything to go by.....
  6. It's all scaremongering, though it wouldn't surprise me if people did receive automated emails, even when they're not doing anything naughty. Policing the net in this manner is one hell of a job, I don't think that MS are even capable of doing this properly, despite all the security patches they release to spy on folks, (allegedly....). *turns around and looks over shoulder*
  7. Can you get Virgin Media in your area? If so, I'd be straight over to them.
  8. I use TOR when I stream baseball via TV Ants. The streams I use can't be viewed here in the UK without using TOR. Have a read on their site and see if this will help you out.
  9. You highlighted every part and unzipped in the one hit? Easier than doing them one at a time. Are there any other files that came as part of your download?
  10. The key facet for any good broadband setup is your latency, ping. The lower the ping time, the quicker and better your broadband is working. Low ping times are essential for seamless online gameplay, and also assist in the speed at which you browse the web, though download speed also factors into this as well, so overall you want a low latency and a high download rate for surfing and downloading from the net. Speedtest.net offer a more thorough ping test on their site, how reliable it is, is anyones guess to be honest, as the ping results differ from the standard speed test and the newer ping test.
  11. The standard VM router, which this is, only uses b & g speeds, this is why it has 2 antennae. Internal antenna does b, external does g.
  12. From what I've read/heard, the map pack will be released for the PS3 on the 30th April and will cost 10 of your English pounds. (1200 MS points equates to roughly £10, so I'm making an assumption that it'll be £10 for the PS3 as well).
  13. New Map Pack is called Stimulus. Some may have seen this on Live already, but for those who haven't, there are 3 new maps and 2 older MW maps being made available for MW2: Stimulus Today, 13/03/10, a new Xbox.com Marketplace listing confirms the names of the five new maps included in the much anticipated first instalment of Modern Warfare 2 DLC – The Stimulus Package. The best-selling Xbox 360 game of all-time just got bigger, with more epic multiplayer content, first on Xbox LIVE! The Stimulus Package delivers 5 additional action-packed multiplayer maps featuring a variety of locations: * Bailout – a multi-level apartment complex * Storm - an open industrial park littered with heavy machinery * Salvage – a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars Two legendary fan-favorites from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare make a return. * Crash – a war-torn urban environment * Overgrown – which features a massive dry creek bed This also confirms that the pictures leaked in Stimulus Package video are legit, although the names of the maps are different. The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package DLC will be available March 30 on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 1200 of your MS Points.
  14. The Reds side in full is: Reina, Insua, Johnson, Carragher, Agger, Mascherano, Aquilani, Gerrard, Babel, Rodriguez, Torres. Subs: Cavalieri, Kyrgiakos, Ngog, Benayoun, Kuyt, Lucas, Kelly.
  15. No problem. Did you manage to get round your problem when running WiFi appliances alongside wired appliances?
  16. MW2 takes up all my online gaming time now when at home, but when I've had a go at FM10 at work when it's quiet, I just can't get into it at all. Perhaps the reason behind this is the decline in the series over the past years and this version was the straw that finally broke the camels back. As I've said before, the seeming emphasis of SI to make the game look better, rather than concentrating on the longevity of gameplay, has really ground my gears. The same old bugs being found in games year on year certainly doesn't help either, and it takes them forever to release patches, and even then, some known bugs remain. Another aspect that has put me off this version is that some of the research teams appear to have been very lazy to me, and just used the stats from 09 to cover this version. I understand and appreciate that this process is very time consuming for the individuals, and the effort they have put in over the years, this one included, should never be overlooked, but perhaps SI need to develop better methods for collating statistical data, how this would be achieved, I have no idea.
  17. I see no point in it myself, but there are plenty out there who do it. It's always good when you can spoil these little bastards plans, and it's especially pleasing to hear them almost cry when they can't pull it off, ooooeeerrrr. I had it a couple of weeks back when 2 young Irish lads were trying it, I spent the whole game looking for them and found them as the one going for the nuke was at a 22 or 23 killstreak, needless to say, he wasn't happy when I popped him and his mate and sat waiting for them to respawn with the TI and done them over again.
  18. When 2 players on FFA help each other to get a nuke. They find a quiet spot on a map, use tactical insertion, and proceed to call in a nuke. A lot of the people that do this can be heard arguing over whose turn it is to get the nuke, and they become noticeable when the game starts and you see player x killing player y 4 or 5 times in a row.
  19. That's how I seen it. Great stream though Paul, so thanks once again for that.
  20. Success!!! Stream is playing, a little jumpy for me, but seeing as I'm in work behind all sorts of security, I'm a happy bunny right now. Fingers crossed it holds till the big fight....
  21. The stream played for about 2 seconds then started, and continues, to buffer. Oh well, worth a shot, seeing as I'm bored out of my skull at work tonight. Muchos grassyarse for the link anywho...
  22. Top man. Link works fine, site is not blocked, just have to wait and see if the stream buffers or not. I.O.U. Green squares.
  23. You got the direct link to the mediaplayer/flash stream at all? In work and can't access MyP2P, blocked, as are all the usual suspects I use when at home. PM it to me if you have it please.
