1. Very strange this attempt of yours to downplay Sturridge. We bought him in January. It is now September. His strike rate has been the same since the minute he walked through the door. Not only that, his strike rate was unbelievable before we even bought him.
2. Well he clearly doesn't think he's above mixing it with the fans. Plenty of footballers do at the higher levels.
3. It's like a kit of hatred. I am convinced that the designers were probably discussing how life would be better on Earth if there were no humans.
4. Loosely related to this thread. On the subject of sugar daddies
5. hhuihuhuihuihogyoguguvu edit. i noticed that no-one had posted in this forum for an hour and 20 so was just checking if i could make a post.
6. Fair enough, that's escaped me somehow in the past. I've probably just noticed it this year because there are so many notable weekends. I don't believe for a minute that these are random.
7. This seems to be the year they stopped even bothering to pretend that the fixture list is random. The TV money went up after all. It takes zero imagination to see the TV angle on these. Some notable ones (i have left some out): 3rd weekend Liverpool V Man United Arsenal v Spurs 5th weekend Man City V Man Utd Chelsea V Fulham 2nd Nov Arsenal V Liverpool Everton V Tottenham 9th Nov Chelsea V West Brom Mourinho meets protege Steve Clarke while... Man Utd V Arsenal 8th Feb Liverpool V Arsenal Tottenham V Everton Yes, you are reading that correctly. Arse-Liv and Spurs-Ever happens twice. And what happens the following week? 11th Feb West Brom V Chelsea Mourinho meets protege Steve Clarke while... Arsenal V Man Utd Yes, you are reading that correctly. That happens twice. 1st Mar Fulham V Chelsea Man Utd V Man City 15th Mar Man Utd V Liverpool Tottenham V Arsenal Yes, you are reading that correctly. It happens twice. There's more but i think that says enough
8. Oh that would be an absolute nightmare, naturally.
9. To be fair i think it would be both interesting and shit. We could definitely speak for quite some time about how shit it was.
10. Swedish slang for woodland creature going through the menopause.
11. The West i'd say, rather than the world. With the UK being the epicentre.
12. I predict that i will probably be the most accurate person in this thread. If you are skeptical that we will ever have proper artificial intelligence watch this video. Some big changes coming down the line, chaps.
13. Here's a good little graphic that lets you easily compare the different leagues. At the bottom it shows red and yellow cards as well. Almost twice as many yellows in Spain compared to England.
14. Very pleased if that's true. He's definitely worth more than 40 million even with the baggage. If he was squeaky clean i'd say maybe 60 mill, but he isn't so maybe 50.
15. they bought super early in January too
16. the key is to get up the league before they get itchy feet/not have them hounded out the country
17. We dont need to specifically replace Suarez as such, just keep buying class attacking forwards like Coutinho and Sturridge with the overall team in mind and we should come out of it fine.
18. The answer is probably pretty simple. The location of where the player was born comes a distant 2nd to their ability so with that in mind we just choose the best players that we can afford to play in our 1st team. If they come from our academy that is a bonus. The pool of talent we have to pick from over the age of 17 in our academy is about 100 players. The pool of talent we have to pick from elsewhere is about 10,000 players.
19. No goalie of ours is ever under constant aerial bombardment.
20. Oh the classic final 7 games theory. Personally, i believe if you look at away games only during February. That's the best way to gauge a team. But remove penalties. So you take into account all pens and rework the points awarded. You are completely insane, mate. Seriously.
21. You are looking at it the wrong way in my opinion. You're looking at it from the POV of before the deals were made. This thread is about looking at it in hindsight.
22. My first instinct was Carroll, then i remembered Chelsea are paying Torres something like 35 million over 5 years in wages so went with both as bad as each other.
