  4. Interesting, usually the top seeds are away first game. Last time we had a home game first was 2004/05...
  5. Bastard of an away trip at least.
  6. Sticking your neck out a bit there Nick...
  7. It's listed as £270k everywhere else.
  8. Doesn't seem like he's been in the job five minutes. He's a class act and I wish him all the best.
  9. Such a shame, he could've been one of our all-time greats. Thanks for the memories Xabi lad.
  10. Best Game - Istanbul Best Player - Steven Gerrard Best Signing - Fernando Torres Best Trophy Won - European Cup Best Game Attended - Overall, Istanbul, at Anfield, Olympiakos '04 Worst Game - Boro away in 02/03, the beginning of the end for Houllier Worst Player - Itandje Worst Signing - Diouf Worst Game Attended - Liverpool 1-2 Southampton, Dec '03 Standout Memory - Istanbul. I thought for some time after it could never be topped but I now believe it will be when we finally win the league What You Want For The Next Decade - Number 19 (and 20,21 etc)
  11. I agree, he's impressed me every time I've seen him (which isn't very many admittedly).
  12. It is serious, but it's very unlikely he'd get sent down if he was found guilty.
  13. Doesn't have to be. Don't forget that when Arsenal had a similar stand-off over Vieira, he ended up staying and went on to play a big part in their "invincible" season.
  14. Yeah it made very interesting reading. Just as a side issue, does anyone know if we'd still have been able to afford Xabi & l'il Luis if Owen had stayed?
  15. Assisted by the Echo may be putting it a bit far John but Bascombe admitted on this very forum he fell for some of Houllier's tactics to undermine Fowler. EDIT: Sorry, just seen someone has already made this point. My bad.
  16. I don't disagree but they showed that goal Owen scored for us at OT in 98(?), the game he was later sent off in, and it was spookily similar to Torres against them this season.
