The one v Brighton was tougher as the game acrually played on longer with the way linos are told not to flag, so I understand the ref not having much option, but I still think its wrong. Last night though I think the ref knew how close it was to half time and took the easy way out.

My issue isn't the awarding of the advantage initially, straight away it looks like a good decision, but when it so very quickly becomes clear it isn't one, we should have the obviously more dangerous free kick 20 yards from goal with seconds to play. Refs want to play tye advantage where they can, and we all generally want them to, but it seems to me they are far more willing to give it time and then pull it back when it's in the middle of the pitch, where the benefit of a free kick is less clearly helpful, than when it's up the top end. Up there, that opportunity needs to be BETTER than a free kick 20 yards out for it to be advantageous, and within a second of playing on it very clearly isn't a better chance

I won't keep at it cause your opinion is fair, but i disagree with it. I agree he had a potential advantage. However that advantage didn't materialise and it failed to materialised instantly. Refs do it all the time, play an initial advantage and then say "nah, didn't materialise, I'll call it back". They let it play out a few seconds to see. It's different to getting a shot off, cause its clear if you could get a shot off that's your advantage played. Three stills... 1. The foul, 70:24 2. The indication to play on, 70:26, with Salah 25 yards out and a host of defenders around him; and 3. The end of our advantage, 70:27. We should've been given a free kick.

It also wasn't te refs fault Brighton fucked about and didn't use the ball when he played advantage to them in the first half. Still brought it back for a foul 5 or 6 seconds later. I just don't think you should be able to have it both ways. If you're waiting to see if an.advamtage results, wait. If Diaz is onside but hits his shot wide, fair enough. Even if Mo holds onto the ball a few seconds then plays it to an offside Diaz, I guess that's fair enough too. But he took one touch, then passed it in the space of less than a second. If what's required is instant perfection then is it really an advantage?

Of all the shit ref rubbish today what pissed me off most was our disallowed goal. First half he played an advantage for them that he waited an.age to let see if it developed in their favour before ultimately giving them the free kick he was absolutely fucking desperate to award. For our disallowed goal, Mo touches the ball twice and about 1 second elapses between the foul on Darwin and Diaz being offside. Where's our fucking advantage? If he's offside, there's no advantage, give us the free kick.

Coote wasn't giving it but the linos have a button on their flag so they can alert without flagging and that's what I reckon happened. There's absolutely zero difference in the allocation of this bullshit as there currently is. The only change here is that a rule players and fans have fundamentally.understood forever will be less understood by both, so intinctive feel for a decision will be harder to gauge, including for linos, and as said in reply by someone else, you still need the same bullshit lines to determine who was where. These twats need to have less interference in matches, it's as simple as that.
