  1. From the Football365 site : The deadline to sign Albert Riera is approaching fast, but if he proves the answer then Benitez's judgment is called into question because of his failure to sign him earlier; and if he isn't the answer, then again Benitez's judgment is called into question. :wallbutt:
  2. Yeah, he had a good game when he came on. Love to see him start out wide against Villa but I doubt it
  3. Because I believe Van Basten picked him for his workrate as well...... Holland have plenty of flair players all over the pitch, we don't. Robben, cunt as he was at Chelsea, is the very type of player we desperately need on the wing right now.
  4. But you're missing the bloody point !! Nobody is saying he doesn't "bust a gut" for the team. Nobody is saying he doesn't die for the cause. What some are saying, me included, is that he is currently, and all of last season, being played by the manager on the right wing and he hasn't the control, pace or ability to beat a player to play in that position. It's not his fault he hasn't. It's the fault of the manager for buying him and then playing him out there where he clearly has more poor games than decent ones out there.
  5. He has a valid arguement about Kuyt's worth to the team. It's valid IMO as Kuyt was the subject of a lot of arguement/debate last season as well. Whether you agree or not is up to you. Why don't you argue your case instead of this childish "negging" and the even more embarrassing trying to get other's to "neg" him shite.
  6. He wasn't saying it's Kuyt's fault. Maybe it's Rafa's fault ? I think it's fair to say that Rafa prefer's workrate over flair. Obviously, it would be great to have the two, but I think Rafa will use Kuyt as much as possible. It's just the way he sees the game.
  7. Totally agree. Maybe Rash was right after all !!
  8. Yep, he's very good at that bit alright.....
  9. According to the BBC website, when Reira went on loan to City in 05/06 season, the price to make the deal permenant was only £3.5m. If we do go for him, how the fuck do we end up paying £9m for him 2 years later ? What has he done in those 2 years to almost treble his value ?
  10. Did he have any good games for City ? Has he no pace at all ? Is he at least a good crosser of the ball ? Sorry, but I don't remember him at all
  11. Can anyone tell me why we are pursuing this guy when by all accounts he flopped at Man City ? And what's his stepover/hair gel ratio ?
  12. How are we going to shift Voro if Rafa is pricing him at £6m ??
  13. Yep......love Dirk but would have Babel first to terrorise the fullbacks
  14. So you don't think Rafa will put in a title challenge this season ? Didn't you say a while back that you were prepared tp "back him" for one more year to see if he can put in a credible title challenge ? Season hasn't started and now its : "we will do well to finish 3rd this year" !!

  17. The Q man perhaps ??
  18. Only joking Rashid......anyway, I missed the game. How did Ngog and Keane get on ?
  19. If he does sign, how long will you give him to prove himself a "world beater" before you start laying into him ?
