I’ve been asking Dave and the lads to do this as a podcast discussion on an international break for a while, but he’s admitted he’s simply too lazy to do any thinking or research and wants us, his minions to do the work. I’m thinking it would be pretty boring if they just discussed all the trophy wins, and a few stand out matches, so the things I’m going to be suggesting are moments where I think back fondly as part of our journey with Klopp making us probably the best reds team I have watched. To get us started then…. 1 Klopp’s first walking through the door and his “normal one” press conference. 2 His “doubters to believers” speech. 3 The mayhem after Lallana’s goal in Norwich 4 Liverpool 5 when he broke his glasses. 4 Getting a pretty rag tag bunch of players he inherited from Rodgers to a UEFA Cup final in his first season. 5 Our win at Arsenal on the first day of his second season. Arsenal didn’t know what had hit them, and we could instantly see what a great player Sadio was. 6 Getting back in the CL in Klopp’s first full season (we’ve been there ever since until this season). 7 The signing of Mo Salah and the way he hit the road at full speed from the off. 8 The signing of Virgil and seeing the instant transformation to the belief in the team. Jurgen deserves great credit for waiting patiently for his man when most of us were calling for someone else to be signed when the transfer first fell through. 9 Beating Guardiola’s City 4-3 in January 2018. It ended their unbeaten start to the season and sent them a message that we were going to be a pain in their arse. We got in Guardiola’s head that day and he started doing weird things when picking his teams to play us. 10 Knocking City out of the CL later that season. I was a nervous wreck watching that first half at the Etihad, the relief when Mo scored was unbelievable. I’ve got loads more but think it’s only fair to give some of the rest of you a chance.

Shall I start a discussion thread then or would you lads need more time to absorb it all? I’ve got loads of suggestions and they aren’t necessarily the cup wins. For me the journey under Klopp was every bit as enjoyable as the achievements. A top five disappointing moments under Klopp might be an interesting little entée before the good stuff as well.
