  1. I think he's simply been caught and 'gay bashing' is a great excuse, right up there with 'is it cuz I is black?' Personally I doubt mother Laws is as dumb as you'd like to believe. So why can't I rent out a room to my gf and get her to claim housing benefit?
  2. 'New politics' will haunt this coalition as 'back to basics' did to Major. Parliamentary rules are clear on family and partners, and taking 40k to 'protect my privacy' is bollix.
  3. A simple poll: Do you want Rafa as manager next season? - Page 2 57% vote to end the 'Rafalution' - Liverpool FC News, Discussion & Debate | Liverpool Banter Poll: Are you happy with Rafa Benitez at Liverpool? - LFC Globe | Liverpool Football Club News and Media
  4. 85% is more akin to Fergie's approval rating at Utd. Rafa would only get that on a site like Rawk, which is moderated to espouse a certain opinion.
  5. FFS are you 10? Having seen governments come and go for over 40 years the one thing I've learnt is that party pledges and manifesto's are up there with Santa and the tooth fairy. SD thinks no Labour = no NI increase... don't be shocked when there are tax rises.
  6. Effin great, can they find a job Letwin.:wallbutt:
  7. That triple-lock might take some holding later, 'at this stage' barely 24hrs have passed. Let's see in 12 months.
  8. Better last night but more effort needs to go into the story than Elba being moody for 60 mins. The support cast is also really bad, Mackintosh looks like a little boy lost and Saskia Reeves seems to be attempting a Dick Van Dyke accent.
  9. I suspect over time we'll see defections from LD to Labour.
  10. I'm not sure if the Tory party could hold themselves together, never mind the Lib Dems too. Here's the words on the Thatcherite CWF Conservative Way Forward — www.conwayfor.org "We do not believe a formal coalition with the Liberal Democrats is an appropriate way forward that would produce the necessary stability our country needs." Mention Europe then stand well clear...
  11. I doubt it will hold for 12 months. Those (currently) behind Clegg may not stay that way if the Tories get busy in their usual way.
  12. I was disappointed by the AVI Buffalo album - nothing compares to the Weezeresque What's It In For. Surfer Blood is better. Band of Horses album is rather ace.
  13. I'm surprised Boulton was left on air after the Campbell row, thought his bosses would have sent him home. Apparently Boulton said 'dont you DARE talk to me like that!' to Bradshaw off-air - he seems to have a problem which those who don't submit to his Bill O'Reilly approach to interviews.
  14. A Murdoch employee complaining he's sick of someone telling him what to think. The irony must be lost on him.
  15. Maybe, I think that like Ged he went against his natural cautious approach with more attacking fullbacks and a creative mid, then bottled it (or saw it wasn't working) and tried to return to the old formula but doesn't have the players (esp a second quality defensive mid) to achieve it. At some point our need to evolve as a football side in an attacking sense will conflict with Rafa's cautions instinct.
  16. Fairly balanced piece tho 'gambling' on an expensive player like AA is laughable - you gamble when playing ressies (and Babel). Doesn't also explain why gash owners = gash football style.
  17. 'Letting people know'. No, when you're mail-bombing people 2 or 3 times as some were suggesting it's called spamming. And what happens if we object to a future owner and need to whip up a serious campaign - many on that list you've annoyed by filling their mailboxes wont give a frig. Well done.
  18. Quite true. I hope somebody on Rawk wises them up to how much these childish spam campaigns piss people off.
