  1. This. He may not be absolute shit, but there are certain teams he should not play against, like Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs etc. And there are other teams he is well suited to play against. He is a good option to have and have been a value for money signing. I like him.
  2. You have to look at things in perspective. In the position we have been in for the last few weeks this was a big win. Wether you call it a great result or a lucky win is not important. A win again next week, and confidence comes flowing back, and anything can happen. Every team going through a tough spell needs that little bit of luck to snap out of it. I am very pleased with todays win, and I could`nt see Roy doing anything wrong today. Off course there is a fine line between success and failure, and a 0-0 draw today and the knives would have been out for Roy. Now he has bought himself another week of peace, and he has to use it well. I actually think Chelsea is a good team to face now, and just the right opponent to get Torres out of his bad spell. Fernando will score at least one next week.
  3. A very important win, both for the team and especially Roy. I`ve never hidden the fact I did`nt want him, and that I want him gone. That beeing said I cant really fault him today. Bolton is never an easy place to come, and most sides struggle there. Even on form Bolton makes it tough, and their physical presence is a test for anyone. Even after last weekends win this years team is so short of confidence, and you can see it in the amount of unforced passing errors we made. Torres especially could make the easiest 5 yard passes, at least until N`gog came on. It was painful to watch for long spells, but then a superb back heel to Maxi was that little bit of magic we know he can produce, and it was a moumental contribution to our win. Hopefully this lift his spirit so he can find back to his usual self. We did`nt play good, in fact nowhere close to good, but we dug in, refused to give in and towards the end we were the team finding ourselves in promising positions, but only for the last pass to go astray time after time. This is the type of passes you make in your sleep when on form, but today they went anywhere but on target. Roy is still under a lot of pressure, and rightfully so. But for him to win the fans over, he just needs to keep his mouth shut more and keep on winning matches. That`s not to hard is it Roy?
  4. Lucas Pepe Maxi And as a close 4th, Sotorios/Skrtel. Dont think one was better than the other, but both stood well up Boltons physical presence. And a word about Kevin Davies. For such a (supposedly ) strong physical player, how easy did he go down?? Several times the smallest of touches from Skrtel and Kyrgiakos saw he go down flat out like an elephant shot down. Embarrasing.
  5. Agree. That approach would be absolutely useless under a manager like Hogdson that just doesnt trust young players. So if this is how they want to do things, they need to change management as well.

Kurt Karl, Owen and Woo aongst others will confirm my ace taste in music, so I would`nt want to disappoint the lucky someone who will recieve mine, so off course im in. Oh, and if someone have failed to send or review previously they should be banned. The review is almost as important as the cd, and should not be forgotten. And by review, i dont mean a " it was ace, thanks" response.
  7. True... But then again, Scorsese have never been called a cunt on TLW.
  8. Fulham did put in a high bid for LDV last year, and i remember we were demanding £5m for him. Just after Malcolm Elias ( it`s him your thinking about, right? ) went there. liverpool.no reported the deal as £3.5m plus the 2 kids valued at £1.5m, and they are usually very well informed and right about these things. But even at £3.5 he is very overpriced due to his age and the fact that he is a very poor (at this level) player.
  9. Had it only been a couple of millions. The Konchesky fee was £5m, which is absolutely staggering. £3,5m plus Dalla Valle and Kacaniclic who both were valued at £750 000. And it was only a year ago Fulham bid £3m (i think) for Dalla Valle. I have no problem with Roy trying to improve the left back position, but Konchesky is not any better than Insua, and while Insua may improve, Konchesky certainly will not. So it was a waste of a deal, at a time we had almost no money.
  10. maxi sotirios lucas Today at last there was a team effort. And several players picked up their performances, helped by the fact that this was the worst Blackburn side i`ve ever seen. They were even worse than us defending set pieces as well, and Kyrgiakos could easily scored 5 today. Follow this up against Bolton and Napoli, and we may turn this horrible season around.
  11. What we need now, more than ever, is some positive experiences to build confidence, not another loss, or confidence draining horror shows. And it`s all well saying you will give chances to fringe players, but those player needs to play with decent players. Play Shelvey alongside Poulsen, and he is bhound to struggle more, than if he played with Meireles or Gerrard. It would be easier for babel to provide the goods with Torres and Gerrard in the side, instead of Poulsen and N`Gog. Players who play one match in a month, in a very unbalanced, and unsettled side will struggle. I think Roy is digging his own grave, and he dont have many poor performances left before he is out of a job.
  12. Cant believe Martin Hansen is still at the club. We`ve got rid of lots of goalkeepers the last year, and he is just a mistake waiting to happen, and everytime i`ve seen him play he makes huge errors. 2 big ones for 2 goals tonight as well. Bouzanis is streets ahead of him.
  13. But it is! He has already signed his replacement, Bebe, for peanuts.
  14. He deserves the same chance as those who`s been picked ahead of him so far and have failed to deliver anything remotely close to good enough. To be given a chance isnt one match a month. Attacking players needs to play several matches in a row to find their match fitness. Babel have offered more in his limiting playing time than Jovanovic, so he should be picked ahead of him. He should at least been used much more coming off the bench. Hogdson said when he arrived, that everyone would be given a chance, but like most of his other comments, this has proved to be a load of bollocks, and he certainly had made his minds up before he arrived. Against Blackburn this weekend I would like us to line up like this from midfield and forward. Gerrard-Meireles Maxi-Cole-Babel Torres Gerrard and Meireles would offer support from midfield, something Lucas and especially Poulsen fail to do. Maxi and Cole offers short passing and movement, while Babel offers pace and strenght. Despite the weaknesses of that line up, I believe that is the strongest we can offer for the time being. But im pretty sure Roy feels it wouldnt offer enough defensive security, so it will never happen.
  15. I like the design, and to me it would rather serve as a reminder of what the cancers did`nt get to participate in. It would serve as a lost opportunity to them, and it will eat them up inside seeing the club and investor make money from it.
  16. It havent really sunk in yet. I guess it feels something like beeing cured from a disease you`ve been carrying for three years and the doctor just told you that your fine. It`s relief more than anything.
  17. Not even Bill Hicks could have provided better comedy value...
  18. Pardon my ignorance, but what`s going on there?
  19. People should listen to Coop! Today we should all just celebrate.
  20. For Tom and George, this one should do... For those non scandinavians who`ll struggle with the lyrics, it simply says... Go to hell!
