  1. Damn right it was hard to watch, it's one of the worst individual performances I've ever seen, and not just for Liverpool.
  2. That would be marvelous. I'm sure it's not escaped peoples' attention that players of his type are dominating this league. Suarez, Silva, Nasri, Nani, Modric, Mata, Young, Aguero, all players with great technique who can control the ball in tight spaces and keep possession, or go past people. We could do with another player of this type.
  3. Some chavs on here criticised me for saying something similar. Don't you know that we're now great at counter attacking because we scored one counter attacking goal against a lower league side? That's the level of logic that permeates this place. It needs a reality check. I would have thought over 21 years without a league title would do that but it clearly hasn't.
  4. The few goals we've scored are not as a result of a particular attacking system or style. If they were, we would have more goals. When I watch us, I don't see a style of play, I just see players doing whatever, and it isn't pretty that's for sure. Our play has no shape, no movement, not much skill.
  5. Not playing for 2 weeks could be a reason to moan I guess. I care about the club. I don't have a child like brain that just shuts out reality. I think about things that affect our success. You can't be happy when you win due to blatant luck when you know that you can't get that sort of luck very often. It wasn't even a foul. Before the sending off we certainly did not look like a very good side, no creativity, no speed, and that's been the case in most of our games so far. We don't have the right players. We don't create many chances in games, we look very fragile defensively when anybody with a tiny bit of speed or skill has the ball, we're slow, and we can't counter attack for shit. But I'm happy.
  6. I imagine people are comparing us to title winning sides because that's what we aspire to be like one day. In my case, I haven't said we should be winning the league, but what I am saying is that we are not being as good as we can be. If you're at a disadvantage, you need to be at your best and hope others slip slightly, but we are NOT at our best and that needs addressing.
  7. Well you answered your own question there. The point I'm making is that if you're battling against clubs that are financial giants or have an old cunt managing them who knows how to create a playing style that allows them to win nearly all their games against the lesser sides then you need to look at what YOU do. Are we doing the best we can in terms of playing style, training, tactics, signings? The answer to that is a categorical NO.
  8. No I definately did not expect us to challenge for the title, and we wont for a long time, in part becuase of the strength of other teams, and in part because of our own failings.
  9. Let's all be honest. That was a ref assisted victory. Very uninspiring. We STILL don't play in a way that will get us anywhere near winning the league title. If you combine that with the fact there's two clubs who can spend whatever they like and an old cunt who wont retire, then trying to qualify for the Champions League is all we have to play for in league terms for the next few years.
  10. So we should all feel content that when we randomly select 11 players out of our first team squad to start a game, they are unable to perform any actions even marginally resembling those of professional footballers, individually or collectively?
  11. We're going to be in for a long season if opposition players simply touching the ball to the side before shooting is enough to fool an international defender and one of our best young defenders. It is preseason though so hopefully they get it sorted by the time our first proper game comes around.
  12. The only thing that turned me on in those videos was the Enzo.
  13. If we sign Adam, Friedel, Dann, Downing, Enrique and any other average players for next season then we may as well not bother turning up to play the games. The psychological lift it would give the other teams a few places above and below us would far outweigh any improvement people think these players would give us. That improvement being virtually nil. If our summer transfers in list resembles anything close to the list of players I've mentioned then to put it simply, we are FUCKED.
  14. The only way we'll be able to strike a balance is to buy players with pace, because at the moment we dont fucking have any.
  15. It's a sad truth. The enlightened amongst us have been trying to make others realise this, but if reality isnt sinking in after 5 trophyless seasons and 21 years without winning a league title, then when will it?
  16. Saying it's wrong makes no sense. This 'joke' bid has proven that the rule is needed!
  17. Not at all. Why direct your pointless cliches at the rest of us, the team is proving us correct, Bernard.
  18. Same thing we've seen a million times before. A game away from home, team playing against opposition really up for it, our team not looking like it knows how to actually create attacking moves, go a goal down, other team now really really sensing they can win, our players dont respond quick enough, lose more belief, play gets worse, other team finishes us off.
