Johnson is the closest I've seen to a Gerrard type player. He would learn a lot from Stevie (on the pitch) and could be a good replacement further down the line. Where he would fit in next season I'm not so sure.

If Torres has an off day or comes up against a quality pairing like Vidic and Ferdinand we are pretty much fucked unless Gerrard pulls something out the bag. They can concentrate their efforts on stopping Torres with little threat from elsewhere. I noticed against Man City last week (I understand motivation may have been an issue) if Kuyt or Babel got it to the by line you would have Torres on his own in the box, Gerrard outside the box and most of the time Lucas an Masch on the halfway line. We could definitely afford to be a little more positive and trust are defence to pull us out the shit if a counter attack was launched.

Yossi another player who has been played out of position imo. For me he should have got a run behind Torres with Gerrard in his true central midfield position. I know we have a few centre mids but it doesn't mean you move Gerrard to accomodate them. Also Yossi banged a few goals in this season albeit againast shite. Pennant scored 1!!!!

Exactly what I was going to post. Very similar to Gerrard in terms of attributes to his game. Obviously not at that level yet. If he played for the other Manchester he would be getting wanked over.
