The thing is Leeds have got rid of about 3 managers recently and the fans forced the chairman out and they realise now they're in the shit and are getting behind them as theres no-one else to shout their venom out. We would if we were in a relegation battle but our seasons over, stuck in mid-table.

But one thing never changes......Everton are (in my opinion) among the worst set of fans following the most annoying club in English football. Today, as always, they were DEATHLY quiet barely busting into their brilliant "everton" chant....(you know....the one that goes "everton everton everton etc"). This has been exactly the same situation ever since i have been watching football ( i saw Trevor Francis debut so a while). Add to that the fact that, nearly always, they are a really average workmanlike team who somehow (usually jammiliy, sometimes dubiously) never get relegated. Add to that they get ridiculously excited by that squat dwarf. Add to that they continue to have a weird, horrible, backslapping love in with United. All things considered that makes them, i think you will agree, really S**T

Shame things aren't working out for Mellor at West Ham. No way he'll get a chance with us now. He's going to find it hard to make it at the top level now.

Its definetly the answer, get the fans who actually want to get behind the team together rather than spread out. I think even the Mancs do that themselves with their K stand or whatever it is. Its something we've got to look at, as a good atmosphere makes the match day experience worthwhile even if the games crap and definetly lifts the team anyhow.

I was at the game and didn't cheer the Manc result cause I wasn't arsed after we'd just gone out, same with Everton in the car on the way home. However I didn't think there was any loud cheers. In a crowd of 30,000+ you're going to get some cheers anyway it goes without saying. I bet when it was announced at the Hawthorns we'd got beat there were cheers in the United end.

Its partly performance related but Highbury and Old Traffords atmosphere is crap as well and they win every week playing good football. Its down to the fans that come in. I don't think OOTERS are the problem either specifically, Goodisons mainly scousers and they don't get daytrippers but that place is a bloody morgue every week. The only noise they make is to slag their own team off and the main reason for that is they've got no songs.

What's the point of doing that? We've got plenty of good songs but they don't get sung at Anfield. Unless its one of the numerous ways of chanting the word Liverpool or a players name i.e. Kewell, Gerrard, Heskey, Baros etc then you can forget it. Our away supports generally very good but Anfield is just a sheer embarressment.
