  1. we were so near to the end of beckham's reign as the mr england if that free kick had of come to nothing he surely would have been taken off,and the clammer for him to be dropped would have been so loud even sven could not have ignored it,just think no more pictures of his fucking wife and kids in the crowd ,no more pictures of him wrapped in an england flag in the papers on match days,it could have been the end of english football being dragged down by the cult of celebrity , instead we have got another week of it,i dont think i will bother buying a paper tommorow
  2. i listened to 5live and watched bbc1 and was amazed at the end of the game when i listened to the bbc1 pundits ,england were slaughtered on 5 live by green and butcher but gary and the boys were having a love in ,i just wonder if they have been told to tone down any critiscm after a few of the players starting moaning last week, perhaps they are worried they wont get any interviews if the are to harsh
  3. for all you people posting jokes about child abuse i e the ian huntley joke what do you think about people who tell jokes about hillsbourgh?.
  4. one factor a lot of people are overlooking is bellamy has had serious problems with his knees over the years for one so young that is a worry
  5. kramer versus kramer the court scene at the end when merryl streep decides the boy is better of staying with dustin hoffman fucking heartbreaking
  6. yesterday was a fantastic day and everybody is already looking foward to next season with talk of a league win,i think we should all be a bit wary of getting to ahead of ourselves, i have no doubt we will win the league under rafa but i think next season may be to soon,i think the area that will stop us winning the league next term is upfront, i know rafa will bring in new players in the summer ,but if we are to produce a title winning side i can honestly see an argument for replacing all of our front players apart from robbie, robbie's absence yesterday only highlighted how poor the touch and guile is of our front men,i thought ashton and to a lesser extent harewood were a constant danger to our defence never giving them a seconds peace.i dont think rafa will change all three front men in one go but if we are to win the league i think players who have more consistency must be found. i think crouch has had a ok season but i dont think he is top quality, moro just has not adapted to the english game and is knocked of the ball to easy, cisse is the most frustrating one with his pace if his touch was better he could be a great player but i fear he will always be an egnima. if rafa was to replace them 3 with 3 quality strikers in the summer then i would also think the title was on,but i just dont think he will change all 3 in one go
  7. a man who gave great service to football in this country, as you rightly say a decent honest man

    Boro

me thinks mclaren will be a shoe in for the england job
  9. could not agree more, nando crouch cisse none of them have got what it takes to score goals consitently in the premier league,in crouchie's case i think the fact that he gets stick in the press leads us to understandly be protective of him,for a man who's main attribute is heading the ball he is fucking useless at it,and i do feel if he played for a certain club across stanley park or the mancs he would ive no doubt have a page of this fanzine dedicated to him every issue,it is good when we stick up for our players but there comes a time to say they just aint up to the job, i can envisage this time next season none of our current strikers being at the club including god
  10. for people like me in their mid forties news like this does bring a tinge of sadness ,mainly because we think back to the days of watching players like Osgood and we wonder where have all the years gone, also we look back at the era Osgood played in with fondness because the game was not driven by greed
  11. i cant wait for the game when a ref has the balls to pull carvellio up for shirt pulling at corners, its going to cost them in a big game soon

    Mancs:

the best thing we could do is total ignore neville during the game ,now that would freak him out, lets just spend the whole 90 mins giving loud vocal backing to our beloved team
  13. le talec must have fallen a long way if he cant get a game in that team
  14. I am sure today's result will bring a few people back down to earth, when i say that i mean in terms of us winning the league, what rafa must do is make sure this slight blip does not become a slump, finishing in the top 4 is a must for us to allow rafa the funds needed to revamp the strike force, i hope we can get back to winningways at charlton and wigan to take a little pressure of us before the arsenal game, the arsenal game could be a very big game otherwise
  15. i think we saw into today's game one of the most innefectual performances from a front two i can remember, even if they are not getting service they must hold the ball up better, nando is a quality player but not in english footie he just does not look strong enough, the striking situation is the major problem for Rafa now,
  16. the club cannot lose over Robbie's signing if it comes good it will be great , if it does not work out nothing will have been lost, i am as happy as the next man god is back but i do worry some people are expecting the Robbie of 10 years ago, i just dont want people to be dissapointed in Robbie if it does not go well, injuries have taken their toll on Robbie over the years but he still has a great footie brain, i think he is the right signing at the right time ,i just dontthink we should expect miracles from him .our striking options must be improved for next season and i think this is a good short term answer
  17. one note of caution george burley reckons he could be as good as titus bramble richard wright and kieron dyer
  18. i am afraid sven is just symtomatic of 75 per cent of people involved in footie today be it players managers agents or chief executive's, they have no affinity to football fans they only are interested in how much they can make out of the game, the main trouble is the fa is run by pricks who are only interested in keeping their own job safe
  19. is there a link for pp live
  20. sorry for being so serious, but what kind world are we living in when a man is found guilty of raping a 12 week old baby,as a father and soon to be grandfather it really does worry me
  21. agree that today show's just how far we have come, this time last year that would have been a loss, but with a little more luck we would have won that today, i dont think anyone will catch chelsea, but with cover at centre half and the foward line strenghtening ( mori and pongolle i think struggle in the premiership) the future is as exciting as i can remember for a long time.

    bbc

i could understand sky having a show called man u's greatest goals ,but it seems the bbc are doing a similar .show tonight with that twat nesbitt.why?and as for ferguson laying into Arsenal saying they will never be a big club, the only reason utd have a world wide following is because of a plane crash in 58 when people rightly had sympathy for the people of manchester, liverpool's world wide following was created through success on the field , 5 european cups and yet he thinks utd are a bigger club than us , what a twat
  23. it just shows how stupid these awards are, if england had won the cricket world cup well yer maybe someone connected with the team should havebeen honoured, but to give all of them an honour for winning a home series against the aussie's is a fucking joke , there are more pro cricket players in this country than all the other test paying countries put together, instead of giving them honour's they should have been told not to let it go another 17 years before we beat the aussie's again
  24. i dont think we will ever see the kewell of his leeds days, injuries have taken their toll on Harry, with that comes a lack of confidence at leeds if harry was one on one with the full back he would 9 out of 10 times skin him that figure is now down to about 4 out of 10 times
  25. some of you might think i am nit picking but a penalty taker must have been chosen before the game yesterday, and it is a fair bet it was not Crouch, it all ended up alright in the end but if Zenden had not scored from the follow up and the game had of ended 0 -0 i cant help thinking Rafa would have not been happy. 0-0 in the middle of a premiership game is not the time to fuck about with penalty takers, ok if you are 3-0 up then you can let the lad try to score to get his first goal but at 0-0 it smacks of being unprofesional .
