  1. Austrian Airlines is always a good choice for anywhere eastern Europe, changing in Vienna. Got a flight for around £180 last time. And there's defo no need for a visa for EU citizens if staying less than 90 days.
  2. Just adding another club to their circle alongside Spurs and Portsmouth.
  3. The Daily Post has been a disgrace in this whole issue. Their reporting has been wildly inaccurate, often sensationalist and had a strongly pro-groundshare agenda since day 1.
  4. Scottish league starts this weekend and you aren't allowed to show a live match if it clashes with 3pm Saturday kick offs.
  5. Rash, been doing some digging in the RAWK archives and found this from you in March 2004: "He would walk to Liverpool, his hero's are Steve McManaman and John Barnes and loved Liverpool. I know lads who know him and his best mate Ashley Cole quite well (these two are flat mates in East London). Jermaine Pennant is a very big Liverpool fan, would love to join us." You did well my son ;)
  6. I've heard he's failed the medical. They found a square shaped lump on his left ankle when he had the scan so deal is off.
  7. Our soul. He cost something like 60% of our turnover that season and we went deeply into debt over the signing, so much so that we were hawking ourselves around the world for friendlies.
  8. To break the transfer record for Beardsley we had to sell our best player, Ian Rush. So want you want us to do is sell Gerrard.
  9. He had an operation for a groin injury a week or two back and is out for 6 weeks.
  10. The Grasshopper Zurich game is on Channel Five on 1st August. Apparently next Saturday's game v Kaiserslautern in on Eurosport as well, though some schedules don't agree.
  11. Story coming out of Spurs two days back is they pulled out over Duff's demands on wages/signing on fee after agreeing a fee with Chelsea.
  12. But he admits that. The whole article is based on readers perceptions when they emailed him. I thought it was excellent myself - very funny in places. And the reason he didn't choose us was because we were the perfect choice.
  13. Houllier was a mate of Robinson's and was appointed just before Parry took up his post. Parry's appointment had been announced a year in advance but he continued heading the Premier League in the 97-98 season. Think Robinson stayed on for the full 98-99 season in parallel with Parry before leaving.
  14. David Moores is involved with Liverpool in a personal capacity. The rest of the family has nothing to do with the club.
  15. I caught the back end of the interview as well - when I switched the radio on sometime after the Test Match had finished for the day he was talking about Mark Gonzalez and then the woman interviewing him at Wrexham asked a quick last question re: the stadium. He mentioned something about huge amount of work going on, come this far so won't be going back, and then the weeks rather than months comment when the two options were put to him. He made no comment on investment (as per usual) or to where the money is coming from.
  16. There are legitimate questions about both Moores and Parry, but not when they're wrapped in an article which is so fantastically inaccurate in terms of its facts.
  17. They don't actually stand for anything. They were added as a design feature "as they looked good" when they last updated their badge.
  18. Aurelio has a bit of the Anelka about him.
  19. Exactly. Here's a pic of the ref explaining it to Rooney:
  20. Spot on. He's been the best ref in the tournament since day 1 when he was superb in the Germany-Costa Rica game.
  21. I'll gladly admit that. I'm in the 25% ;)
  22. btw what have I said about Crouch that so annoyed you as I'd like to compare your perception of what you think I said with the reality of what I actually said.
  23. Read somewhere that he was suffering depression following the end of his football career this year.
