When we went for Tchouaméni, Bajectic was an unknown quantity, he hadn’t made any first team appearances & was often injured for the Academy sides.
Obviously he showed quite a lot of promise last season. I think we were expecting to use him more this season before injury took its toll, overall we were happy to pair him with Caicedo or Lavia, slightly more experienced players, in the first team set up.
As good Endo has been (and he genuinely has done well), we don’t feel any closer to plugging this gap than we did after Paris. Endo is plaster on a wound that needs stitches - he’s doing a job, it’s not sustainable.
