    I have a funny feeling this is going to be a cracker. Everyone is expecting a tight, tense affair but I reckon a quick goal is going to blow that out of the water. I'd be extremely concerned if any of what Bourbon said is true, especially if Mascherano and Lucas start together. Alonso and Lucas might not be so bad, as Lucas can just get on with being the water carrier and let Xabi do his thang.

    I expected us to be battling for 4th, but I hoped we would put in a challenge. I have been pleasantly surprised with some of the results and league position so far, but disappointed with the general performance level, a few games apart.

    Inter are 3-0 down away to Atalanta. All 3 goals in the first half an hour. Celtic getting beaten 2-1 at Aberdeen.

    Andy Murray joint favourite with Federer for this. Lleyton Hewitt is 125/1. Considering this is his home tournament, he must be really shit now to be that price. Still, I've just stuck a couple of quid on him each way just in case.

    1 game is never enough. A lot of people wrote Skrtel off after the Havant & Waterlooville game. Biscan was granted legendary status after 2 games against United and Arsenal too.

    "Need" to improve is a tough one. I don't think there is anyone so bad in our strongest starting 11 that I think 'oh fuck, we're playing with 10 men here.' If we want to strive for perfection, I would say we can improve in all 4 wide positions.

    Do we actually think Rafa is going to play Torres and Keane together in most games when Torres gets back to full fitness? It looks more to me like he's fallen out with Keane, the way he's treated him recently. I'm not a big fan of specualtion or conspiracies but it looks to me like something has happened between the 2, for him not to even come off the bench in 2 games where we really needed a goal.

    Arbeloa has made the right back position his own has he not? He's played every game he's been available for.
