If they suddenly play free flowing pass and move sexy football against Serie A’s smaller teams then fair play to them, I’d find it hard to believe though. Can’t say I’ve watched Atalanta vs Frosinone recently. Or ever. And of course Atalanta fans won’t give a fuck. Doesn’t mean he’s a good manager just for knocking us out, I’d say us playing like absolute dickheads in the first leg had more to do with the outcome of the tie than anything else. He had them well drilled and all, not saying he did a shit job or anything, but it’s a clearly limited style of play that doesn’t tend to do well at bigger clubs. Hence him lasting eight games the one time he actually managed one!

Didn’t really see too many differences in style tonight from the first leg or the last time we played them. Fair play if that’s what you want to watch, I’m not disputing it can be effective, but the phrase “eye aids” has seldom felt more appropriate.

Honestly mate as well as Kelleher did in most of the matches he played, we’d still have been much better off with Alisson fit all season. Trent missing 14 fucking weeks as well, as well as Bradley did I bet he could have used a breather before he got one.

It’s not just finishing, it’s the slooooooooooooooowness of our play since about the 25 minute mark. It’s hard to create against these because they mark so tightly and they’re so fucking cynical but when we move the ball more quickly we look so much better.

Agree with this, also Konate has been shite when he’s played recently anyway. Atalanta at home for example where he managed to lose about half his duels against Scamacca.

Maybe we didn’t take Thursday seriously because we were holding back for this game. If so I’d want at least a 9-0 to make up for how little of a fuck we gave. I almost can’t believe how many fans still have faith in this squad after a performance that fucking amateur.

Isak is a much better player than Darwin and went for a similar amount in the same window, I think Newcastle sealed the deal for him quite early though, don’t think we were seriously interested. He does get injured more than Darwin I guess.
